Good point.
There are no words for those pictures linked here of our soldiers.

I just don't see how we can expect those animals to "apologize". It doesn't give us the right to lower ourselves to their standards, as much as I would like to. That being said, I don't know what I would do if I was a soldier over there, guarding their POWs. I would probably walk the thin line, hopefully not stepping over into the realm of vengeance in the form of murder. It's one thing to kill them in battle, another to kill a POW, I think, even if they don't hold the same ideas.

You are correct. The way in which we conduct ourselves in non-combat situations with an established captured enemy combatant is what defines our humanity.
