Item did not meet MSNBC standards of fairness and taste
MSNBC.com pulled a cartoon by syndicated political cartoonist Ted Rall on Monday.
Ralls cartoon, distributed widely by United Press Syndicate to scores of newspapers and Web sites, concerned the late Pat Tillman, the NFL player who quit football to join the Army. Tillman was killed last month in Afghanistan.

Kudos. . .'I love a great letter'. . . I hope Rall gets the message
and Mr. Salem; and the 'syndicate' as well.
The problem with Liberals of course, is trying to challenge their conscience; which is particularly difficult; since Liberals, by all observations, do not seem to have any.

If guys like Ted Rall and Rick Reilly (Sports Illustrated) had voiced their treasonous garbage back in the '40s and '50s, their lives, nevermind their careers, would have been in serious jeopardy.

that has always been my thought on Rall. He appears to be a major drama queen whose lack of talen prohibits him from getting any attention so he goes the way of so many "artists" and goes for shock value. Then when peopel have a strong reaction to him it allows him to be a maytr and receive all the attention he is so desperate for. Don't e-mail this guy to complain it only feeds his false sense of self-importance.

Haven't caught what Reilly said, and I'm not a subscriber to si.com. Would be surprised if it's as bad as Rall's cartoon, but this war thing has brought more than a few far-lefties out of the closet.
I also haven't seen it posted on FR, and my guess is that only excerpts would be allowed anyway. Lucky for Reilly, whose e-mail box must be pretty full anyway.

I can only find extracts of Reilly's editorial on Google, but here's what the cover looks like if you want to pick up a copy at a newsstand.

What's more upsetting about this is that we are now forced to pay attention to the pathetic un-man that is Ted Rall. I almost say that the cartoon should run just to show people the heart of modern liberalism and how dark and corrupt it is.

Rall could use some "attitude" adjustment by a few of Tillman's Ranger friends.

Andrew Sullivan suggest that a well-placed boycott of Rall's syndicator, United Press Syndicate might be in order behind this little stunt of his.PROTEST RALL: The hate-monger is syndicated by Universal Press Syndicate. Its not censorship or McCarthyism for people to complain about any syndicate that peddles the poison that Rall lives off. Todays disgusting diatribe against Pat Tillman is so vile, so utterly devoid of any motive or argument but personal malice and hatred, some form of protest is surely merited. Email the vice-president for print syndication, Lee Salem, and tell him what you think of Ralls cartoon. Please, please, be civil. His email is lsalem@amuniversal.com. He needs to hear from you.
I like the idea.
You've got the address: lsalem@amuniversal.com; it sounds like Mr. Salem and Universal Press need to be FReeped...
Just damn.
If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...
