While I don't support hiring minorities simply because they are minorities, I find it arrogant and presumptuous of Kerry to think he's "in touch" with Blacks and Hispanics because he has attended a Black church once or twice, or because he has appeared on MTV. It's arrogant and presumptuous to think that Blacks and Hispanics are so stupid, that's all it takes to win their vote.

It's arrogant and presumptuous to think that Blacks and Hispanics are so stupid, that's all it takes to win their vote. It's worked for 40 years so far. Why shouldn't Kerry think it will continue to work?

It is funny that a man who no doubt the only black people he new were the extreme minority that were at Yale and those that worked for dear Mummy and Dad!He is trying to portray himself as the common man but he has a personal valet.John Kerry is a phony and will hopefully take his party down with him.Blacks and Hispanics aren't stupid but their leadership is towing them around.

The main thing lacking in the Kerry campaign is a canidate. You cannot make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Even if Hillary did say she would donate hers.

Bill Clinton said he ended welfare as we know it, but we all know that was the Republican bill he vetoed twice before he signed it (sounds like Kerry).

If that ain't the truth: Democrats are all hat and no cattle when it comes to claims that they will improve the lives of minorities (or anybody else). For decades minorities (read that as "special interest groups") have fallen for the "pocketful of mumbles, such are [Democrat] promises" that the liberal race hucksters have directed at them.
"It's arrogant and presumptuous to think that Blacks and Hispanics are so stupid, that's all it takes to win their vote."
PULEEZE! Of course they are--and they HAVE fallen for it. Can anyone rightly claim that ANYONE is better off for having let the Dems divide us with their promised bribes. (And bribes are all the empty promises are.)
Then again stupidity and greed are a dangerous combination.
When Dems tell minorities that they'll be able to get into colleges they couldn't be admitted to in a fair world, when they promise goodies to be paid for by the "wealthy," and when they create a sense of entitlement in the undeserving while making them feel righteous for wanting to take something away from people who earned it, that's nothing more than inciting class warfare. But that doesn't mean stupid people won't want to line up for the free lunch.
In the interest of full disclosure, I am Hispanic, but I find the Dems polarization of our society heinous. Dems even give the lie to their own philosophy: that a man should be judged by the content of his character, not by the color of his skin. -OhMike

Boy, Julie Anne Fidler is a very brave woman. Her site says it is the Home of the Republican Attack Machine. Go Julie, more power to you.
We need more women like this, who will stand up for their families and their country and not give in to having Teresa as their first lady.

It's arrogant and presumptuous to think that Blacks and Hispanics are so stupid, that's all it takes to win their vote. That's a normal reaction for a reasoned, well-meaning person. Unfortunately, that's about all it takes.
But it's not just minorities, look at the way union members get sucked in supporting multi-millionaire "Men of the People" like Kerry/Kennedy.
