Your point was underscored by a Lt. Col. on Fox this a.m., who said that they are using intel to smoke out the "bad guys" while trying to prevent excessive numbers of civilian casualties. Destroying the city is not an option, he said. I have heard this from every single military analyst, including all the Fox generals who were right on about the war, so they must know what they are talking about.

Penhaul is doing one heckuva job reporting from Fallujah. Very little editorializing, just being our eyes and ears on the ground.

I ditto TexasCowboy. Allegra, I checked your home link, and have a lot of respect for what you are doing. I would be over there helping out in a heart beat, if I didn't have small children. God Bless you, your co-workers, our military and our president!

I think the plan in Falluga is to use the Stallingrad defence. Only for some reason the media thinks that it is the Terrorists that are using it when in fact we are! we have surounded the city and are pushing and squeezing them here and there to wear them out and run them out of supplies. When the terrorists surrender and come out of that city they will be a tattered rabble, malnurished and shellshocked. The Russians were able to reduce the most powerfull army (German 6th) in the world at the time in the same manner.

Other than the fact that the Germans were actually on the defense once they marched in (and now the terrorists), bingo.

We enjoy thinking about how much our laughing and taunting must really piss them off.

A couple of days ago, there were reports of the Marines using loudspeakers to 'question the insurgents' manhood.'

The insurgents would get infuriated and come out, one by one, to challenge---and the Marine sniper would 'snipe' them.

And they must not understand that if they don't give up their heavy weapons and surrender, they'll get to see our...

HEAVY weapons!

Sharif don't like it

Now over at the temple
Oh! they really pack ’em in
The Jihadis say it’s cool
To dig this fighting thing
But as the wind changed direction
The Cobras all rolled in
The jihadis caught a wiff
Of that crazy gatling jiiiiive

Jihadis don’t like it
Shred the casbah
Shred the casbah
Jihadis don’t like it
Shred the casbah
Shred the casbah

GB called up his jet fighters
He said you better earn your pay
Drop your bombs between the minarets
Down the casbah way

LOL...I have been half wondering if Sadre would try to escape from Najef and show up in Falluja. The point is that there are clerics all over Iraq who are working for other interests, including Iran, who will travel there. This should be hairy.
