My apologies if a thread already exists. I did a search on "Toomey" and found nothing.

I arrived at my polling area (suburban Philadelphia) at 6:45 am to hand out palm cards. The weather is terrific this morning, but turnout (I thought) was light (I had to leave at 9:15, but will be back).

Bush being AWOL for 8 months from the Guard then getting an early release to go to Harvard....while war hero Kerry was injured and saving people in Vietnam? They are SO disgusting and they just started running them in Ariz. on Fox News no less!

Incidently, I'm in TN too. Sat next to Sundquist at a Lincoln Day Dinner just before his re-election telling all of us how wonderful TN was because of the low taxes. 2 months later he was pushing the IT. And you're right, Sundquist is and will be an millstone around are neck for some time.

Rove was so smart that he almost lost the election in the last two days in 2000. Instead of exposing the DUI early in the summer, he let the Dems exploit the opportunity for a last second surprise that turned the last second undecideds and chased away a significant number of religious voters. A blowout was turned into a popular vote loss and the smallest possible electoral victory (depending on less than a thousand votes). I'd rather see Ralph Reed running things than Rove. Reed delivers crushing victories. Rove delivers narrow victories and defeats.
