Persistent and Loyal Friends of Terri and of the U.S. Constitution,

I'm home from today's hearing which was held at the Criminal Courthouse Complex on 49th Street, Clearwater before Judge W. Douglas Baird.

Once I collect my thoughts from today's hearing which just adjourned about a half an hour ago, I'll post them here. Initially, I wasn't going to do any reporting re: the hearing but it was enlightening.

I learned today in the hallway that Terri's parents, siblings and other relatives are still unable to see her some three weeks later due to the criminal investigation of what may have been mosquito bites. But, that's a different legal matter.

Thank you for your response, Phenn! Again, though, what I was asking was not if these activities were a good idea (I think they are) or if they had been done before (of course, they have), but rather if the Schindler family and their legal team wanted us to still do them.

I don't personally care if some state agency clerk finds ME annoying, or gives ME one non-answer after another. But my concern, like yours and everyone's here, is Terri, and I don't want to do anything that can cause a backlash on her.

I have also been asked many times by viewers to update the Terri Schiavo case. I would very much like to do a few segments on Terri Schiavo since her case raises many very important issues. I am fortunate in that, because I have an hour every night, I can always find time for these very important issues like the ones that Terri's plight raises. Any time her family, or her husband wants to come on the show to talk about Terri, I will gladly have them. Note: I have also asked Governor Jeb Bush to talk about his role in this case, but he is shying away from talking about it. Like the Schiavo family, he has an open invitation.

Does the family plan to take Greta up on her invitation? Maybe the new attorney would be interested in appearing on Greta's show if he knew about this invitation.

Michael's latest cruelty to the Schindler's needs to be exposed.

TERRI'S NEW BED: I spoke with one of the state investigators last week who actually saw Terri. She said Terri has recently been placed on a bed which is gauged by her height and weight, allowing for automatic repositioning. The inspector said she had never seen a bed of such technology and had wished all the patients she sees in nursing homes had one. So, your calls to the AHCA and DCF obviously did help Terri and consequently, she now has a nice bed. :-) The inspector was vague but did tell me that Terri was sitting up in a chair and was dressed when she spontaneously visited with her. I'm waiting on a written report of their findings and have been calling them on a daily basis to obtain one. :-)

UPDATE ON VISITATION: DAY 25 - family kept from Terri due to ongoing investigation of (FAKE HOAX by hubby's atty my thoughts FV). Above from a supporter 4-21-04

NEW BUREAUCRAT TO ANNOY - JON KYL, pubbie from Arizona. New law to protect victims of federal crimes. We need Jon Kyl's contact information. The New Law approved by the U.S. Senate also covers FRAUD AND EMBEZZLEMENT. Is this a silver bullet that could help Terri once and for all??????

Today, the Second District Court of Appeals affirmed Judge W. Douglas Baird's decision for venue in Pinellas County in the matter of Schiavo v. Bush. That means that this case will remain in Pinellas County and in Baird's court. You will recall that Judge Baird had stated the Terri's Law, the law that enabled Governor Bush to intervene and restore Terri's sustenance, is 'presumptively unconstitutional'.

Additionally, Michael Schiavo, through his attorney, George Felos, has asked that Judge Baird issue a summary judgment on the constitutionality of Terri's Law, without allowing Governor Bush discovery or the ability to take depositions.

Today's action by the Second District Court of Appeals paves the way for Judge Baird to summarily pass judgment that Terri's Law is unconstitutional.

BREAKING.....

On April 20, 2004, Attorney Deborah Bushnell (who represents Michael Schiavo) faxed a letter to Attorney Patricia Anderson (who represents Bob and Mary Schindler, Terri's parents).

In that letter, Ms. Bushnell stated that Terri has had five teeth extracted.

Ms. Bushnell offered no reasonable explanation of why this was done, if Terri was appropriately anesthetized, what follow-up care is being prescribed nor if any restorative dental work was to be provided to her.

For years, in court, Terri's family has argued that Terri's husband, Michael Schiavo had not provided her proper dental care - among other things. Now, Terri has had five teeth removed.

As of this writing, it is unknown what, if anything, is being done to address this problem. Terri's parents are unable to get clear information regarding their daughter's condition.
