At the risk of getting attacked by the angry crowd, I agree.

Obviously the press are a bunch of liberal screw worms, however, it was very painful to watch.

He seemed to be unfocused, lost, unprepared, and drifting on several occasions. Only the blind and deaf, or those with a political agenda could not see it, or would not admit it.

The problem here is when someone makes a comment or steps out of formation, in the slightest, and says something that does not fall into what the mob repeats over and over, we'll they are fair game. It's like waving an Israeli flag at an Ali Baba worship fest in downtown Baghdad. You'll get wolfpacked.

Amazing. I saw a President that told us what he felt and how he saw his duty to the country. Not tired, not fancy, not phony. A man with the toughest job in the world, doing it with a pure purpose. The great communicator Clinton, lied to us, betrayed us and made the presidency an exercise in vanity. He never looked tired or searching for words. Those words poured out of him, albeit with with no meaning or heart. You have a right to your perception. I am just amazed of how differently I perceived this press conference.

Thanks for that. I professionally conduct interviews of people in my occupation, and that was just my take on it. I've been wrong before, but for me, he seemed slightly lost, and not ready or prepared.

- No, I'll tell you what. I am outraged watching the press corps asking ugly biased questions of the President of the United States.

- I am angry at the bastards who broke into the cockpit and killed my brother

- I am angry at the partisan 911 commission who is out for a lynching

- The President spoke to the American people tonight, and he spoke to me.

Oh my. That is just beautiful. How in the world did she make it past Larry King's producer to get on the show?

The publisher might recoup some of his costs via composting the left-overs. (Not likely to even sell the copies in the remainder bins. I wouldn't spend even a quarter for this liar's tale of his plantation days at the NYT.)

He seemed to be unfocused, lost, unprepared, and drifting on several occasions.

At the risk of being attacked, I will also state that I agree. I thought his speech was very good, but I didn't think he did well at all in the Q&A period. He rambled, forgot the question, drifted, etc. I spent a lot of the time wincing when he spoke. I was actually kind of embarrassed for him at times.

The press corps is a bunch of jackasses and their "questions" were BS, but Bush didn't respond well to them at all a lot of the time. It wasn't so much what he said but his delivery that was the problem.

Excellent points, prairie.

The American people have seen enough of this President not to expect a glib silver tongued delivery.

He was strong, resolved and sincere. The content IS what matters, and the content was good.

However, I am confident that I'm not the only one that saw President Bush as a little unfocused, distracted, unprepared, and drifting on several occasions. It seemed kinda obvious to me. Of course, I'm just giving my honest opinion.

Well, yes, this is the standard reply from the DUmmies. "Blundering idiot", "Cowboy", etc., etc. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

No offense, but he could have given the best speech in the entire history of the solar system, and those people would have called him names.

I don't think Havoc wants advice or encouragement. She wants to blame others for what happened to her and to play the victim. Where has she been the last 10 years while millions of jobs have gone overseas for a multitude of reasons? She cares now cause it finally affected her.

Huh???

He hardly mentioned 9/11, except when the stupid reporters brought it up.

His speech was about Iraq as were most of the questions and answers.

I must have watched a different press conference. I thought President Bush did fine. I thought the press behaved like jackels and were quite disrespectful-idiots He did look tired. That is not surprising. Well, I wouldn't want to see a happy, happy President when American lives are being lost...even in a just and necessary war. President Bush spoke simply and answered the questions honestly-he spoke to the American people, and I for one felt quite reassured that we are doing the right thing after hearing him speak.

I have about a dozen of those soft, nerf footballs that I pitch at the TV. LOL.

Hey! That's a great idea! That would save me a lot of money because I currently throw the coffee table at the TV! :O)
