I have written to our local WTNH news, who have no desire to cover this story.

Black Leadership Group Says Dodd Must 'Face the Music and Resign'
Will never happen.
When was the last time a Dem (national scale) was forced to resign? See, that only happens to Pubbies.

Won't happen. This won't get anywhere near the media attention that Lotts remarks did. Frankly, Lott kept the story alive by doing what Republicans always do.....explain things to death and just dig themselves in deeper. Dems just ignore the whole thing and it goes away. You would think over time that Republicans would learn this little trick.
To: Fierce Allegiance
Where are the pubs, including Bush, that helped sell Lott down the drain????
One has to wonder if they both dance to the same fiddler.

We'll see how far this goes. Without the mainstream media jumping on this, it will die down Rather quickly, if ya know what I mean.

If Dodd should resign for praising Byrd, a former KKK'er, shouldn't Byrd resign?

"Trent Lott has got to go. I'll bet he keeps his Klan robe in his closet."
- Spike Lee's words on the Today Show regarding the Lott controversy.
Let's make the same baseless charge about Chris Dodd now that the tables are turn. At least calling him a Klan-lover wouldn't be incorrect since he obviously loves at least one Klan member.

They left out the part how KKK Byrd initiated the fillibuster on the Senate floor on the civil rights act of 1964.

The silence of the media on this topic is deafening.
Remember this next time somebody tries to tell you there is no "media bais in favor of the left".
Try not to spit in their face as you burst into laughter......

Sen. Dodd's inclinations in fawning are most notable in the international realm: Fidel Castro, Daniel Ortega, Hugo Chavez. The Black caucus might note these - starting with Castro whose regime has institutionalized the relegating of blacks to the lowest level of Cuban society.

Republicans don't have the
guts to fight this, or any issue.
All these Big Stupid Government politicians want is more power, more money, more pork, more votes and reelection. Fighting for principles is risky, and Republicans don't care enough about principles to take risks.
