Their roll today is clear -- make an explosive statement so that soundbites will be replayed over and over by news outlets. Fortunately, thus far, Dr. Rice is thwarting their efforts.

To me it sounds like a like of questions, well let's try to bury Bush and Condi, of course, but also they sound like fact gathering for her case.

Rice is dominating despite the attempts by Gorelick to lecture her rather than listen to her - which supposedly is the point of a hearing. Gorelick sounding kind of frustrated, in fact, at not being able to get in enough shots at Rice and Bush.
