9-11 Survivors Report on How Bill Clinton Left America Vulnerable to Terrorist Attacks
D.C. Chapter ^ | Thursday, April 8, 2004

Posted on 04/08/2004 4:07:23 AM PDT by kristinn

As survivors of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the members of the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic feel entitled to issue this report. Many of us witnessed the attacks and their aftermath in person. Some of us were in New York City at the World Trade Center that day, others were at, near or just across the river from the Pentagon. (None of our chapter members witnessed the plane crash in Pennsylvania.)

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic is an independent grassroots conservative organization founded in 1998. Every Saturday for the last 28 months of the Clinton administration, members of the D.C. Chapter stood outside the Clinton White House informing visitors, tourists, media and employees of the administration of the willful damage being done to America’s national security by President Clinton, First Lady Hillary Clinton, Vice President Gore and their myrmidons in and out of government.

The Bush administration, seven months in office at the time, deserves whatever criticism is due an incoming administration that had to clean up eight years of damage on many fronts left by the outgoing one. However, no one can accuse President Bush of the serious lapses in judgment and dereliction of duty committed by former President Clinton.

On his last days in office, al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden were far from Bill Clinton’s mind. His priorities were copping a plea with prosecutor Robert Ray (a presidential first) that would keep him out of jail and wreaking his revenge on the American justice system with a pardoning fury that culminated in the pardon of international fugitive Marc Rich.

That Clinton ended his presidency on such a criminal-like note is not surprising to anyone who observed him objectively. This was a man who served himself first, last and always.

Who but a Democrat, can forget that Bill Clinton, while he talked on the telephone with Rep. Sonny Callahan regarding the congressman’s concerns about the safety of our troops deployed to Bosnia, was receiving oral sex from Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office study? In fact, getting serviced by Ms. Lewinsky while on the phone conducting official business with congressmen and others was a habit of Clinton’s.

Bill Clinton did not care that he had exposed the presidency to blackmail by a foreign power by engaging in at least seventeen phone sex calls with Monica Lewinsky on her unsecured line. Clinton laughed off concerns of a national security breach, telling Ms. Lewinsky that if they were blackmailed to say they were just making it up.

During the Clinton administration, the closest African-American woman to the president was White House secretary Betty Currie. It was to Ms. Currie whom Bill Clinton turned to facilitate and later cover-up his affair with Monica Lewinsky in the White House.

The dutiful Currie, in a manner reminiscent of the ante-bellum South, once locked herself in the bathroom while, just outside the door, Ms. Lewinsky performed oral sex on her boss, former Arkansas governor, Bill Clinton.

Clinton’s sex-obsessed nature became a national joke even as the nation was put in danger because of it. Of course Clinton’s nature was not a joke to the many women who accused him of rape and/or sexual assault like Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey and Paula Jones, among others.

During the period from 1997 to 1999, as Bill Clinton struggled to keep from being impeached and removed from office for perjury and obstruction of justice, and while he worked to keep a lid on the Chinagate scandal, al-Qaeda metastasized into a deadly international threat to America.

In 1998, while al-Qaeda plotted and bombed American targets, Bill Clinton held but two cabinet meetings: One to lie to his cabinet, the other to confess his lie after it was confirmed he allowed Monica Lewinsky to leave the White House with her blue dress covered in his semen after an oral sex session.

Rather than admitting his guilt and resigning from office like he should have, Bill Clinton fought those seeking to hold him accountable to the rule of law with more energy and determination than he ever did al-Qaeda.

National security lapses weren’t limited to Bill Clinton’s sex life. In his first term, Clinton took millions of dollars in illegal campaign donations. Much of those donations came from agents of communist China who were given extraordinary access to the government in exchange for their largesse.

The Chinagate scandal, which included American companies that bought favors from the Clinton administration that aided China’s ICBMs, helped put the lie to Clinton’s boast that “no nuclear missiles are pointed at America’s children” under his watch. Toward the end of Clinton’s second term, Energy Secretary Bill Richardson admitted that China had about sixteen nuclear missiles targeted at America. Cold comfort when they repeatedly threatened to nuke Los Angeles as Bill Clinton slow-walked our missile defense system development.

Airline safety was compromised by Vice President Gore’s decision to not seek standards that could have made the September 11 plane hijackings more difficult, if not impossible. Naturally, that decision was followed by hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign donations by the airline industry to the Democrat party.

Terrorists had a great friend in the White House during the Clinton years. Members of the Marxist FALN terrorists were pardoned in 1999 to help Hillary Clinton’s bid for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Pat Moynihan.

Yasser Arafat played Bill Clinton like a sucker for years. It should be funny, but it’s not, that the terrorist Arafat has a worthless Nobel Peace Prize while Clinton doesn’t.

Bill Clinton’s disregard for national security led him to completely lose his authorization card with nuclear launch codes. Clinton even lost the nuclear football when he stormed out of a 1999 NATO meeting in Washington, D.C. and was driven back to the White House without the military aide who carries the nuclear football. The aide had to walk the mean streets of our nation’s capital back to the White House.

That was not unusual for a man who nearly left his daughter, Chelsea, behind in Moscow while on a state visit, or for a man who took such poor care of the two dogs he owned as a governor and president, respectively, that they were both run over by cars.

It is not with joy that this report is issued. However, as survivors of September 11, we have watched the investigation into the government’s handling of the terrorist threat devolve into a nasty partisan fight by the Democrat party and their proxies.

We know that the legacy of the leader of the Democrats during the 1990s was one of utter disregard for the national security of the United States that left us wide open to the September 11 attacks.

The photo on the cover, while crassly humorous, tells a deadly truth.

Clinton's agenda was to take us down several pegs in the world--to put us on the same level as the rest of the screwed up socialist countries. He does not believe in the primacy of America, nor our special place in the world.

And neither do the leftist media, both here and in Europe. They consistently censor any news regarding secrets 'shared' with totalitarian regimes.

It should always be pointed out that clinton was in office for 2920 days, and did not stop terrorism against the US.

GWB was in office for 233 days when Sept. 11 came around, less than a tenth of the time clinton had to do something about this.

Even 9/11 commissioner Leyman was truly overjoyed and his eyes were even glazed over with joy when relaying the news about Clinton's testimony.

I think Clinton has some type of mind control that turns the person looking into his eyes to mush.

We will have future commissions that ask the questions that the present commission is asking. We've had similar investigations in the past:

ADMIRAL WILLIAM CROWE, JR.: First thing we discovered, of course, as we began to get into the security issue more and more was that it's widely - security affairs are widely dispersed throughout the U.S. Government. Many people have a chunk of it. It's difficult to pinpoint responsibility. But, of course, one of the main things that runs throughout this question is the funding for it.
PHIL PONCE: And you believe it's been seriously under-funded?
ADMIRAL WILLIAM CROWE, JR.: Yes, very much so. It certainly has not improved in the last decade the vulnerability of position of these embassies. Now, that's striking, given the Inman report of 1985, which pointed out many of the things. And one of the things that -
PHIL PONCE: The Inman report came out after the 1983 bombings -
ADMIRAL WILLIAM CROWE, JR.: That is correct.
PHIL PONCE: -- of the American embassy in Beirut and the Marine barracks bombing.
ADMIRAL WILLIAM CROWE, JR.: One of the main things that struck is most notably is we keep running across recommendations that turn out to be the same ones the Inman report made. Not much has changed, but those recommendations are still very valid.

I don't know if it's true or not, but I've heard that after Pearl Harbor, naval ships tied off, three or four abreast, was discouraged. I wonder what policy is today?

That's the nature of this country as Dr. Rice pointed out in her testimony. We let danger grow until it's too late. President Bush has changed since 9-11, the 'Rats haven't.

In 1998, while al-Qaeda plotted and bombed American targets, Bill Clinton held but two cabinet meetings:

And habitually late for any meetings he did attend, sometimes hours late, from what I've read. Nothing quite says "I have contempt for you" like the honcho calling a meeting, then making them wait for him to show up. Billy Jeff Perv is a little man.

And we have a feeling of invincibility that quickly returns after being shocked out of it by watershed events--Pearl Harbor, Sputnik, 9-11. With an accompanying feeling of wanting to be the victim and wanting someone, anyone, to be held responsible. The melting pot has been left on boil and though the immigrants clad in gray emerged from Henry's pot in suit and tie, they've marched off to foreign climes, while the rest of us can't even feel the heat anymore. Or sumpin.

Bye the way, great work. Thank you.

Thank you. There's still alot of good people coming to this country. It'd be better if all of them did so legally, but that's for another thread.

Clinton sure knew how to sneak in under the radar by appearing before the committee right after Condi did.

At least Ben Veniste had the chance to read our report beforehand :-)

He's never late for meetings when it's for the cameras, or when there's political hay or headlines to be made. I hope his former cabinet members appreciate the contempt he and Hillary! had for them.

IOW's it occured to Monica Lewinsky that national security was being endangered but not to Bubba.

There are some stupid and self-serving people in this world but the Commander in Briefs is definitely the king.
Even a guy like Saddam would have to be considered a minor leaguer next to him.
