A number of US wounded and a number of US casualties "Casualties" includes both "wounded" and "killed." By using that word, do you mean only the latter?

He doesn't look like he has slept too well lately. He has been making some poor life choices...

She is quoting Brett Baier of Fox News, who is constantly confusing the terms, so we really don't know.

"Karbalai also slammed the US military crackdown ...stressing that "dialogue was possible" and that "firing without any reason was not justified".
I thought their culture took "dialogue" as weakness?
Can't have it both ways, Karbalai.

The media confuses everything. That's about the only thing they do well.
Brett Baier stated the difference, and went to the extent of explaining it when he first reported on Ar Ramadi. The poster either did not hear that or posted the info incorrectly which also happens.

(Just because you did not see it or read it, that does not mean it did or did not happen.)

Do not feel bad, the media makes this mistake all the time - sometimes on purpose.

Just saw an update on Fox with Bret....boiled down to...he said the news reporters have no idea whats going on.... And they are proving it... Brett suddenly realized if 100 were attacking and 80 were killed and they were still attacking.... my numbers seem to have a problem.... much stammering...!!
I thought it was kind of funny...

I sure as hell hope that airpower was available within 30 minutes or so to all our units. Otherwise, someone needs to be handed his ass. There's no reason why Apaches, Cobras, A-10s, C-130s and some ground-attack fighters shouldn't have been ready to roll at a moment's notice.
Ar-Ramadi, Al-Kut, and the Polish base at Al-Hillah are apparently under attack. The Marines are attacking Fallujah and there is supposedly a firefight going on in Baghdad, in the Shia slum.
This is a big test of the coalition's preparedness, and I pray that they show they're up to it.

"My fate will be either assassination or arrest." Does not sound like Sadr wants to take personal part in the fighting.
Despite the loss in life on the Coalition side, this may have been a real boon. If they actually can arrest Sadr after decimating his followers (the Latin meaning of decimating: killing a tenth...) the moderate Shiites will probably gain in support, and the Sunnis will be further isolated.

No sweat...I was referring to the blogger that telegraphed this play...he was spot on...
The terrorists will try to drag our resources away from the main fight through these attacks in other areas...
The only problem with their logic is that our war fighters have read that book...and are in the processes of shoving it up their six...
take care,
Jim
