The AC-130 has the big 105mm cannon for busting buildings and armor, and 40mm and 30mm guns for vehicles and troop concentrations.

I just pray that none of our compounds are overrun, or any of our troops captured. I hope we didn't spread our forces too thin.

Thanks, PD.

And af, the point is that an Iraqi judge, not the US, made the decision to issue the warrant. The distinction is important. Which is why I don't think MSNBC screwed it up accidentally.

I like that emphasis on LOO -- it conveys the proper sense of the place being a sh*thole.

I think all the Jihadi would get circumcised if it was revealed that it was Eleanor and her clones that were waiting for them. ;-)

Don't leave out the Helen Thomas' look alikes......

Looks like the Sunnis and the Shiites may be working together in Ramadi.

The "cause" of what? Which one of the groups gets to fight for the scraps of Iraq?

The cause of the jihad

The cause of the unholy war

The cause to kill the infidels

Pay attention

May God give our fighting men and women strength to defeat our foreign AND DOMESTIC enemies. And may God continue to guide our President and pray he listens. Amen.

This will not be quick.

I'm not so sure. If these guys are attacking in strength, as they seem to be, I think they'll be destroyed in a few days' time.

We must have had intelligence that Sadr was preparing for a move like this with a takeover of the eastern and southern parts of Iraq and so we made our move on him and his cohorts. Our quick strike on his subordinates then forced his hand with the result being what you are seeing with him making his move in the various Shiite cities in the south and east.

"It's kind of like whipping out a shotgun in the middle of a knife fight."

Humph!!! That comparison is a tad limited. It's more like whuppin' out several hundred shotguns and all seemingly firing at once. A kind version of "all hell breaking loose"...

'Al-Qaeda' tape urges Iraq civil war

From correspondents in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
April 7, 2004

A MAN claiming to be a senior al-Qaeda figure that the United States believes is operating in Iraq has released a tape calling for the country's Sunni Muslims to fight Shi'ites and claiming responsibility for high-profile attacks there.

The 33-minute audiotape appeared today on a website known as a clearinghouse for militant Islamic messages.

The speaker introduced himself as Musab al-Zarqawi, a Jordanian also known as Ahmed al-Khalayleh who is thought to be a close associate of Osama bin Laden. It was the first tape of any kind attributed to him to be made public.

The tape's authenticity could not be verified immediately. Terrorism experts say that even when such statements cannot be traced to al-Qaeda, they serve the group's cause by inspiring sympathisers.

Zarqawi's whereabouts are unknown, but the web site on which the tape appeared had a transcript heading that said Zarqawi was in Iraq.

I am tired of seeing (our) men getting killed because of the fear of collateral damage.

AMEN TO THAT!

It was really the democrats that cut off funding for the South Vietnamese that caused that failure over there. Nixon had little to do with it. If we had kept funding up it might have never happened
