For those unfamiliar. Just the scariest mother you could ever send at the enemy. From human to hamburger in .3 seconds.

Actually...it's AC-130.
The A makes all the difference in the world.
Watching one of those things make a hourglass of fire at night is an awesome thing...probably some internet footage of it.

And MSNBC has a headline that says U.S. Issues Warrant for Sadr's Arrest.Screw the warrant, he's a combatant, I'm hoping that he decides to become a martyr and throw himself at one of our tanks or something. Having this guy in jail would put too many people at risk from his followers.

Australian paper reporting that Sunnis and Shiites are uniting against the US for the cause. The "cause" of what? Which one of the groups gets to fight for the scraps of Iraq? Cannot help but believe that they feel boosted by the lack of unity shown (around the globe) during the Sept. 11 Commission's Dog & Pony Show.
Here is hoping all the "hornets" end up in the nest of Fallujah.

The AC-130H Spectre gunship's primary missions are close air support, air interdiction and armed reconnaissance. Other missions include perimeter and point defense, escort, landing, drop and extraction zone support, forward air control, limited command and control, and combat search and rescue. These heavily armed aircraft incorporate side-firing weapons integrated with sophisticated sensor, navigation and fire control systems to provide surgical firepower or area saturation during extended periods, at night and in adverse weather

The former has been dismissed so is not relevant. The latter is the reason we have had such successful military operations over the last two years in spite of RATmedia criticism and Monday morning quarterbacking from those unaware of strategy and tactics.
You clearly do not understand how to handle these matters and in such cases the best advice is to not expose that lack of understanding.

What you have, is not necessarily a liberal problem, but rather one of sensationalism. I absolutely disagree. If a "journalist" wanted to merely play up the sensational aspect of this he could certainly do so in either a pro-USA or anti-USA way, but this will be played as a "catastrophic" turn of events, just like Tet was.
The liberals will use this against Bush. Unfortunately for them, however, the most likely outcome is for America to persevere and bring this under control. In a couple of days there will be a lot fewer "insurgents" to contend with.
