pay some attention to the politics behind this - this "Bush's Vietnam" mantra is beeing bolstered by this, the media and the Dems are all in lock step. you say this is a skirkish, and it reality you are likely correct. but the real war is not going on in Fallujah - the real war is going on here in America against the left, the Dems, and the media. That's the war we run the risk of losing if we don't act decisively to crush this quickly.

My statement was correct. The Turks did not, and do not, want anything that empowers the Kurds, with whom they have been fighting for decades.

What is so disgusting is to find such hysteria and lack of perspective HERE. RATmedia lies and distortions are making inroads even here.

If we had 24/7 liberal news media in WWII we wouldn't have lasted five minutes in Europe.

How would they have treated the holocaust?

What you have, is not necessarily a liberal problem, but rather one of sensationalism.

We've got a ton of news sources to look at and study for our news.

Each news source that is for-profit, is going to do anything they can to get your eyeballs on their site, story, newspaper, tv show or your ears on their radio station.

If this means running a sensationlistic headline that sounds more shocking and worse than the other news sources, they will do so. They don't care if it pisses you off, if you disagree with it, if you think they are exaggerating, because they are just wanting to count the number of eyeballs or ears. That's how they can sell their advertising space or time.

That's why tabloids running stories about some half-bat, half-boy, creature are still in business after all these years, because they can pull people in. They don't care if you know it's fiction or you know it's exaggerated.

It's his last move.

He knows he is going down for the death of a fellow cleric who opposed him. He's decided to go down fighting.

You know what Gen Tom McInerny is a cool head and a great military commentor (as far as I can tell the best on any news network). Fox news is great, but on CNN....

CNN is running comparisons to the F@#king Vietnam War, those @@##@#@@ assh$les, CNN is so tranparent in their coverage, I'll like to go RIP OUT their Satellite Cables.

"during Vietnam, the US was a much more conservative country than it is now, and even then, we weren't smart enough to see through the leftist and Democratic stab in the back."

Well, we elected Nixon first on a split vote although the Wallace vote was conservative. we reelected Nixon by a landslide over McGovern. It took Watergate to actually lose Southeast Asia.

He's decided to go down fighting.

Ten to 1, he ain't doing any of the fighting. More than likely, he's looking for a tunnel out.

Al Ramadi, sounds like they need to spray the subject area with a little 30 Mike Mike at 4000 rounds a minute from an AC-130, that will calm down the situation a little.

Sounds like this is there version of the Tet offensive. We beat the commies bad, but the spineless sympothizers (in the press) played it up and it helped influence our pullout. I pray for our troops and for the strenghtening of the American publics spines. This is for our children.

Oh pull your skirt down and unwad your panties...Francis.

I could give a rip what you or anybody posts. Just quit whining like a sissy when someone calls you on your comments and posts their thoughts.

BTW, if you're going to call me a Socialist, you should really try to understand the meaning of the word. As it pertains to free speech, or whatever version of it you're trying to defend here, the appropriate weak attempt at a slam would have identified me as a 'fascist' or a 'dictator.'

Nice try though. Keep at it.

"God Bless our military. Please, Dear Father, protect these wonderful people the way that they protect us with their selfless acts. Please Bless their families and calm them in their time of terror. Our military continues to ensure our freedoms at great risk and cost to themselves. Please reward these fine and brave folks for all that they do. We ask this in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen."

Lord, hear our prayer.

Israel has hundreds of terrorists under arrest what the hell are you talking about?

What the "hell" I am talking about is the difference between the Bill Clinton school of thought and the George Bush school of thought.

A number of US wounded and a number of US casualties

Do you mean "casualties," (which includes dead and wounded) or do you mean "dead?"

And if at least 100 salamikazes have been sent to their white raisin surprise.... Good.
