My own curiosity ^ | 3/24/04 | Me

Posted on 03/24/2004 3:58:56 PM PST by DM1

I was curious who the 3% is that come to this site stating that they would vote for Kerry? Observe the Free Republic Poll It's Kerry (for now). But if Hillary is added to the ticket (top or bottom) how will you vote? Bush/Cheney - 83%

Kerry/Clinton - 3%

Constitution Party - 5%

Libertarian Party - 3%

Sit on hands - 2%

Other - 0%

Undecided - 1%

No, it is not. A vote for Nadar empowers the wacko environmentalists. It distorts the reality of how many of them are and alters perceptions. Just like Rent-A-Mob does.

Well, a vote for Bush empowers the whacko reconquista, la raza, "press 1 for english" crowd. Not a very attractive option either.

I'd advise you to go ahead & vote for Kerry. He'll fix all of California's problems. Just ask him.

I hereby reject your advice. I do not like Kerry either. Both of the status-quo candidates leave quite a bit to be desired. So, I think i'll figure out a strategy that I am comfortable with by this November. As a proponent of Democracy, i'm sure you'll support and even encourage some sort of participation. Even that you don't agree with. At least I would hope you would.

BTW, I think I was one of the "sit on hands" voters in the poll. Though I don't think i'll really do that. Maybe i'll write you in. You seem like a smart enough fellow, though perhaps a litte hysterical. But hey, nobody's perfect.

I never said I was part of the firing squad. I just said I'd vote for it if they came up with the goods on the treasonous SOB.

hile, your vote won't elect Nader, it will show as support for his socialist agenda. It certainly won't send a message to the Republicans to think about smaller government and immigration.

You know, after the "guest worker" proposal, I got the feeling that the Republicans really could care less what their voterbase thought.

I don't think they are looking for messages. I think they just feel that this one is in the bag. And maybe it is. Especially if they capture OBL between now and November.

On-line polls are meaningless. I occasionally exercise this belief by choosing the least likely option when presented. I'm not the only person that holds this belief, and together we could register a few points for the odd choice on any opinion poll. I wouldn't hold any vote against anybody in an on-line poll. They're presented for entertainment and discussion purposes. As a favorite haunt of mine warns, "If you're using these numbers to do anything important, you're insane."

Well, my primary concerns are our long term economic performance, the preservation of a politically viable middle class, and the maintenance of the environment under the pressure of modern consumer society.

I've got my choice between:

- The Tax and Spend party and the Spend But Don't Tax party.

- The party that won't level with voters about the cost of its social programs, and the party that won't level with voters about the cost of its geopolitical ambitions.

- The party of inefficient ecconomic redistribution, and the party of hereditary economic aristocracy.

- The party which often responds to envirmomental perceptions rather than realities, and the party that often doesn't seem to perceive environmental realities at all.

This is supposed to be an easy choice?

It was actually Kerry himself trying to singlehandedly FReep our own poll. He managed to cast dozens and dozens of votes before JimRob caught him; but, due to his constant flip-flopping, he only voted for himself 130 times out of 260 attempts.

Smart man!

If he has learned half as much as we think he has from the Real K's & the C's, as soon as you pulled they lever he would pull the trigger & keep the money anyway "just to be safe."

Stu, I'll be doing the same thing form many of the same reasons. I live in New York. These morons voted hillary into office by a landslide. My Bush vote is wasted. After Florida 2000, I put a (poorly) handmade sign with "Nader 2004" in the back window of my car.The scolding and "I hope your happy now" type stuff was like music to my ears.Street FreeP!!I adopted the stupid voter persona to enrage and engage them further. My favorite "retorts" were to accuse the victim of racsism or homophobia, claim that Nader will protect the rifle barreled songbird or claim nader supports napster.Acting the part a of half brained lefty to piss off 3/4 brained lefties. Every vote and encounter will push the wedge deeper into the left..................NADER 2004!!!!!!

See what I mean?

The stategy is can be very effective. If you really want to hurt a Democrat, vote Nader (if you live in a Blue state anyway).

It nails them 100x worse than a vote for Bush.

Kudos. A little creativity goes a long way. I may try that here in LA. Although it just might get me shot by a hard working "guest worker" who just came here to save me 25 cents a quart on strawberries.

Kerry would be impossible to beat if he said that he would expel all the illegal aliens in this country.

.Althought that would be a good thing, I still wouldn't vote for that creep! As if anyway!

My favorite part of the poll is the question itself. Hillary doesn't strike me as the type to be a "bottom", if you know what I mean.

So, Nadar basically represents a safe protest vote

Right. CONTRIBUTE to Nader; VOTE Bush.

It will give nader the means to fight Kerry, then have the added frustration of wondering where all his "support" went when the votes are counted, besides sucking votes from Jf'nK.

Did you know that homosexuals have unstable low-paying careers and typically work as hairdressers and florists?

Maybe my husband's practice is skewed (psychiatrist), but his homosexual patients are all making $100K or better. Maybe they're "sugar daddies" to the others? LOL!

Kerry would be impossible to beat if he said that he would expel all the illegal aliens in this country.

Even if he said that, I wouldn't vote for him. First, because I wouldn't believe him. Second, because he's still a true ideological Leftist who would sell this country out to the international (read Euro) Left and all its nascent world government institutions.

In addition, if by some strange set of circumstances Kerry were to make such a campaign promise, he'd immediately lose a very large percentage of the Dem vote to Nader. So he wouldn't win anyway.

As for your voting strategy, whatever. Judging by your written statement in Post #23, you're beyond reason anyway.

The following verbatim quote from your statement makes my point:

"So, Nadar basically represents a safe protest vote (the man has zero chance of winning), while not backing Vice President Bush..."

Are they necessarily referrring to the PRESIDENTIAL race?
I would vote for Kerry, if my town sewer department needed a new inspection team.

I thought it was over $33.0 million.
