Did you see #2715 from Wait4Truth? It might provide a little of what we were talking about...

Armitage now saying that he and Sec. Powell found a State Department in disrepair after 12 years of neglect... I wonder if Roemer thinks he's honest and frank now.

Bwahahaha, thanks for that bit of history on Big Jim?

Done. Thanks for the number. The receptionist seemed quite defensive, saying she had received many calls over the behavior issue. I made the point that to the extent they are reliant on the goodwill of the public, they lost much of that goodwill over the past couple of days, exposing the 9/11 panel as a very partisan exercise. She was very cordial. The only problem was that she received 5-6 phone calls before she could take my call.

Kean was the Governor of NJ and they lost a lot of people on September 11. This committee have already decided that "everything is Bush's fault," so he is just playing to the audience and the NJ media.

Evening news sound bites. Wonder if my blood pressure will hold out if I tune into some of the network news later. Nah. Probably shouldn't risk it.

I sort of wish Condi could go in there and blast away. It's like we need another Oliver North.

I've been watching CNN, and amazingly enough their coverage has been even-handed today.
Your list of their captions backs that up.
But, to be honest, the only reason they're being even-handed is because they're not breaking away from the hearings -at all-, so there's really no opportunity for their own coverage to air. I'm sure they'll slap their spin on it later.

Ok, I do think we would not be in trouble if we send new, unopened bags of rice to this nitwit. That is not a biological threat, the substance is identified (and along with handy dandy cooking instructions). This guy obviously needs the 'rice'

I do not think Bushs approval rating is going to drop 30 points in a week either. However, this will have an impact on the polls, if just temporarily. Look at todays Rasmussen poll. There has been a six point swing toward Kerry in just the last 3 days. It probably is because of this Clark crap. Over the weekend or early next week, expect polls to be all over showing Kerry surging.

Thanks for the link. I just sent the committee this e-mail:
Will the full transcript of the background briefing given by Richard Clarke in 2002 be entered into the formal record of your proceedings?

Bennie now claiming not a partisan commission. Right Bennie we really believe you.
To: Peach; All
Thanks, Peach. I have been following this thread all day without comment...I am just a little fed up with the doom and gloom here and on FR in general. What this tells me is that freepers are falling for the media line that Bush is drowning. Some here are even going along with the RAT line that Jim Angle broke ethical rules by releasing the tape of Clark when Angle has already explained how this is done and that he did nothing at all unethical. We need to unite both here on FR and throughout this country and fight for our President - by letter, by phone call and by demonstrations in the streets. Are we going to allow our President to be villified and crucified by the lying RATS and the lying media? Well, are we????? That is my question to ALL patriots in this country.
