Great reminder as to why we're in this mess now.
I'm sure this has been said here, but while we're so engrossed on placing the blame on Bush, who's minding the store on the current threats? All of these people should be using this time to not let 9-11 happen now, again!! They need to stop looking back, questioning people trying to sell a book, having 9-11 families in the gallery clapping like they were at a show. Stop the show and get on with the future, while they are talking the terrorists are plotting and may be near completion on a new attack!!
I still remember the day after 9-11 when they ALL stood on the steps of the capital together singing God Bless America!! What happened, how long did it take until we got back to politics as usual?

This news is too big for them to ignore it for too long. Wait until Rummy or Cheney to talk about it. It will have to be reported on. Plus, Fox has it, which means all the conservative outlets will pick it up. If it's not reported, then I guess us Freepers will have to do a major offensive!
To: Peach
Even if so, the questioning has been very soft to Clarke. He hasn't even broken a sweat.

I thought he was talking about the Clinton plan as well. It certainly isn't being reported that way.

To show how stupid this guy is, if he wanted to sell a book he shoulc have written one slamming Clinton. The only people who will buy this one is Schumer and Daschel so they can hold it up in the Senate Gallery. Net sales: 2

I know that its preordained. I'm sort of like Charlie Brown -- know that the football will be jerked away by Lucy, but hoping this time is different. ;>))

Gordon gets him to say that even if all his reccomendations had been adopted, it wouldn't have been able to stop 9-11.
To: Terry Mross
I don't know the DNC is well know for its ability to purchase books.
To: cyncooper
Has there ever been an administration that has had to deal with so many real crises yet had so much resistance from the other party? Never. Well, let's see:
Recession started in March 2001 (or Nov. 2000)
Stock market meltdown in full swoon from March 2000 on
Slow-roll on transition thanks to recalcitrant Senate
Jim Jeffords defection in May 2001 gives Senate control back to Dems
Yes: Red China takes our recon-jet hostage
Various land-mine issues like "arsenic in water" standards via last minute Executive Orders
Media questions regarding last minute Clinton pardons
Corporate governance issues begin rearing in summer 2001 starting even more rapid market collapse
Let's not even mention Social Security and Medicare bankruptcy issues that were never addressed during Clinton's 2 terms in office
September 11, 2001
I'm sure this list is only the tip of the iceberg. Just a few cans kicked down the road, right?
To: Indy Pendance
Condi Rice and other administration officials will talk about this in a press conference and the press will HAVE to talk about it.

Definitely. Even if the committee decided to pretend they didn't hear the FNC tape, they aren't going at him hard at all.
I've told my husband for 30 years the RNC has no ba!!s.
