"Tenet is speaking to Gorelick like Al Gore would talk to us."
LOL, Rummy did the same thing yesterday.

Gorelick trying to make the point that our nation wasn't just using law enforcement against Al Qaeda (covering Clinton's rear).
Now going to 2001. Reports were hair-raising, she says. Significant spike.

RE: "Actionable Intelligence"
Suppose there's a ship at sea, bound for the U.S. with a nuclear warhead on board.
The CIA spots it 200 miles offshore and reports its location to the president. Rather than order a missile strike, the president demands that CIA operatives must get to the ship, board it without being seen, and poison the ship's cheese doodle supply. He's told there's not enough time to do that.
I guess that would be a "lack of actionable intelligence" in Gorelick's book.

Two things
1. GOP members had better destroy Clarke
2. and they had better prop up Armitage to help close the sale

Fred Fielding asked him about his daily routine and then Feilding asked him WHO he gave his reports to; he said Berger. Fielding asks if the same applied in both administration and he said he met with Bush six days a week.

The clintons need Ben-Viniste and Gore-Lick as advocates on the committee. They need to continue the lie that the clinton administration was consumed by the terrorist threat. But we know this to be a lie by remembering the 2000 election.
Gore (presumably and insider) NEVER raised the issue of islamofascist terrorists as a serious campaign issue. One would think he would have had the edge. But he didn't consider terrorism a significant enough threat to raise its spectre during the election, because to the clinton administration, terrorism wasn't important enough to worry about.

I'm not sure this isn't why Condi has not agreed to appear in public yet, this way she can assure herself that she goes on AFTER Clarke and refute his line of bull.

Someone posted yesterday that Wilmer, Cutler (Gorelick's firm) is representing a Saudi prince being sued by families of 9/11 victims.

Because of Gorelick, the Commission has an indelible appearance of impropriety.

I have a sinking feeling that this commission will be found to be "incomplete" and more commissions will be called until the dems get their "Nixon-waving-goodbye" photo of President Bush, no matter if it takes until 2008.

I haven't been on these threads. Has anyone said why Clarke gets a full hour more than Tenet or anyone else?

Hardly a claim...More like a point of confusion...because no one is saying where it came from....and it is giving the "appearance" that the Bush camp put it out.

Note: John Dean has a book coming out just as soon as the buzz over Clark's book dies down.
