I'm not sure this isn't why Condi has not agreed to appear in public yet, this way she can assure herself that she goes on AFTER Clarke and refute his line of bull.

I thought the same thing - make them plead that you speak before the commission, stall them, and then when you appear make them sorry they asked you.

However, she really should not be forced to testify since she is an advisor to the President, not a cabinet member.

She is giving info to this committee behind closed doors. Not for nothing, but there are security issues here and much classified information involved.
