WASHINGTON, Jan. 5 - The FBI has extended the December 3 terrorism alert in the United States through March 11, U.S. officials announced, as the U.S. steps up military activities in and around Somalia to prevent it from becoming a safe haven for terrorists, according to newspaper reports.

but isn't it exactly 911 days from 9/11 today?912 days, but those idiot terrorists might have forgotten about the leap year.
2 years=730 days
9-12 to 10-11=30
10-12 to 11-11=31
to 12-11=30
to 1-11=31
to 2-11=31
to 3-11=29
730+30+31+30+31+31+29=912 - leap year day = 911

I once read that it has something to do with a treaty during the Ottoman Empire and a connection to the date of September 11. Does anyone remember the article?

And before someone replies to chaistize me: piss off!LOL. I'll be another to admit I'm "reluctant" to trust a Muslim. They've yet to speak out against their comrades of terror.

Does that hold up if you put the attack times in? What is the time difference of NYC and Madrid?

Today would be the 912th day, but there were still 911 days in between them. Who knows... maybe they did forget this was a leap year or they're bad at math!
To: zarf
He will. It'll go like:
Bush's adventure in Iraq has taken our eye off Al Queada etc..etc.. My guess is that he'll include something along the lines that if we hadn't gone over to Iraq to kill and maim an innocent and peace loving nomadic people, then AQ would not have been compelled to lash out and kill. It's our fault for continuing the cycle of violence.

If your math of 911 days between attacks is correct, I wonder if we could call the date of the next attack? The "where" would be harder, of course.

I don't know about that, but isn't it exactly 911 days from 9/11 today? That depends on how you calculate, whether the period included the beginning and ending dates.
Does anyone have the local time and date of the Spanish explosion?

A letter purporting to come from Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network claimed responsibility for the train bombings in Spain on Thursday, calling them strikes against "crusaders," a London-based Arabic newspaper said.
Yeah, sure. Like that contractor who worked in our Madrid office and was murdered this morning along with her unborn child (7 month's pregnant.)

Maybe their code has been broken! We'd better be careful not to let it get out or they'll know we're on to them.
