I should have elaborated and said Theron looks bad tonight. She's really a pretty girl, but I just don't like her look tonight.

And we know it'll win Best Picture and Best Director, so...
Someone said it lost one it was nominated for, but I don't see what it was... Did they?
I want to see all eleven, and a tie for record with Ben Hur.
I'd love to see Hollywood get the picture (No pun intended) that we want quality, moral-values-based movies like LOTR.

I have an odd feeling that Pirates of the Carribean hurt M and K at the box office somehow...people not really paying attention just thought "oh, more ships."
I suspect M and K will do well in DVD, and winning 2 Oscars isn't too bad, so my hopes are rising for a sequel.

I, too, thought I heard Robinson call Sarandon his wife. I heard him call her his friend, too, but I'm pretty sure he said wife first.

It's too late to do anything to Gibson, and dissing the film would only look transparent. I'm with O'Reilly on this -- they want to make sure that no one else gets any bright ideas. The message from Hollywood, the NYT, et. al. will be: "Make a movie touting Christianity or anything else that opposes our plans for World Communism, and we'll destroy you."
To: John H K
I liked her in some films, too. Btw, that candidate in that "Matchmaker" film Garofalo was in has an awful lot of similarities a certain Democrat candidate....

A very tired affair. Everybody looks bored. There's no electricity in the air. Everything else seems trivial after The Passion opened this week. They know they've been overshadowed.
I've been telling friends that we were living on a knife edge for some time, the election, the war, the culture wars. And then The Passion of The Christ came out. We teetered on the edge all week. I feel it tipping over.
Think of what they are promoting. Think of what they are attacking.
I actually get the feeling that we've won. It's not over. Not by a long shot. But the temper of the times has tilted our way. It's just a feeling. I hope it's real.

The best work Janeane Garofalo ever did was two episodes of SEINFELD. And yes, I thought she was attractive.
To: DoughtyOne
Charlese Theron - I've probably butchered the spelling You're kidding! She looks different every time I see her. Looking forward to "Monster" coming to our little town next month.
And once again, folks: go see Triplets of Belleville.

Gigli swept the Razzies last night. Gigi was that musical with Maurice Chevalier singing Thank Heaven for Little Girls.

Sofia Coppola looks smokin', but man, she still can't deliver a line to save her life
