The left is composed of corrupt, power-mad, mini-dictators who's only goal is absolute power - which as we know corrupts absolutely.
The president being forced to propose an amendment defining a given brought me to tears. It should never have come to this. However, I support it fully. Unless we make a stand, we'll become the equivilant Iraq under Saddam, combined with Talibani-like morality police dealing out summary punishment in the streets at will, while the United Nations rules as the one world government.

"I was under the impression that anarchy doesn't involve elected officials... I think it's better called fascism."...Or Naziism. Both depend heavily on anarchism. There's not enough differnce between any of them to bother making a distinction, so...how about just, plain Evil?

Heck, I'm going to start carrying my Thompson M-1 around with me everywhere I go.
When I'm stopped and questioned about it, I'll simply state that I don't *FEEEEEEEL* that the law is just, and I'm doing this in the name of "civil disobedience".
Wanna wager how far it gets me?

' "We have to show people who we are," he said. "We've been badmouthed by religious zealots. We've been deprived by President Bush and we have to show people that we're your friends, neighbors and family." 'To which we all must respond: "Bush deprived you? What about Clinton? Why weren't you doing all this when Clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act?"

When I see the videos on the news of the newly "married" same sex couples, I find myself cracking a snicker because of the visual. They try to look so happy, celebratory and virginal.
Two men holding hands and gazing at each other oh so adoringly looks wierd.

"That guy was just on FNC again .. now he is comparing gay marriage to the Civil Rights Movement with blacks"Another thing they're doing is comparing it to some amendment that was proposed in the early 1900s to ban interracial marriage. They're obfuscating, pure and simple.
It's ovbious that marriage between a man and woman has nothing to do with race or religion and everything to do with love and biology. They point to gay "marriage" [quotes mine] in other areas of the animal kingdom but convieniently disregard that homosexuality is aberrant in all species. Quite simply, it has no reproductive value whatsover, and thus is no benefit to continuation of the species.
We need to remove the "religious zealot" part of their argument. We had marriage - defined as between a man and woman - before we had Christianity.

Geesh....now if the gun owners would get a clue that they can pick and choose the laws they want to follow the permits for handguns should be ignored.

"I predict we will see the first lawsuit against a church for not performing queer marriages in 1 - 8 months"No doubt. We - well, some of us - knew full well this was coming when the Supreme Court overturned Lawrence vs. Texas. We predicted it. We were all denegrated as Chicken Littles. If this is allowed and not stopped here, it will not end here until every perversion, every crime, has legal sanction.

"Or voluntary cannibalism. They too would be consenting adults, no?"Exactly. In fact, a cannibal was arguing in Germany recently that he's innocent of murder, since it was in the privacy of his home and between consenting adults. They called me a Chicken Little for predicting THAT in response to teh SCOTUS decision, too.

"Public Officials in California, New York Flaunt the Law"Not only that, but what are the so called "Republican" governors of those states doing about it ????? Don't they have Attorneys General to enforce the law of the state ? Isn't that what they're there for ?

I saw that headline earlier but didn't have the stomach to read it. I've heard of this behavior before. It was blamed for a huge upswing in AIDS (DUH)

Less jail time...

"Even the Reverand Jackson got miffed when he heard the gays comparing their plight with that of the blacks."Seriously?? Man, I didn't think there was any insult or perversion that man wouldn't embrace as long as it made him money. But perhaps he hadn't thought of performing gay marriages for a fee. Yet.

Of course, your wife could decide to leave you for someone more exciting and more wealthy, and you will probably still lose your children. Is that God's judgment against you, too? I have no idea. I'll not speak for the Almighty on every specific scenario, and that was not the point of my last post. Possibly you have been through some very difficult times. In any case, my whole point was that we needn't look for a divine meteor shower or a flood to understand that God's way is the best way, and deviating from it is not. God bless.
