February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

We'll never know for sure, but it sounds to me like someone told them to get the wheels on the ground yesterday and get the heck out of the plane, thus the hard landing. Just a guess.

This would take multiple people and a lot of work. People are way too lazy to play a prank that actually takes work and is dangerous. It was no prank IMO.

Just thinking out of the box.

Vein = the train route in Madrid. The okay, the go ahead to hit the vein.

I was just listening to Mark Levin's radio show on WABC. He just went off the air but as he was closing his show he read a breaking report that Tom Ridge just said that the Madrid bombings could be a precursor to an upcoming attack here in the U.S. I'm going to try and find story in print

Concur. And, if real, exactly the type of thing they would say.

But that's my paranoid mind.

Some of these false postives aren't false.

We'll never know.

Thank you,

This is what I recalled.

Does anyone wonder why this is now a common "happening", when it was almost unheard of in the past?

he was predicting they would do anything to deflect this story away from AQ.

Of course they will. Gots to make Kerry look right when he says "The threat of terrorism has been overstated." AQ attacks give weight to President Bush and no media leftist wants that, and neither perhaps, do some of our "allies."

MADRID BOMBING MAY BE PRECURSOR TO ATTACK ON U.S., RIDGE SAYS

March 12 (Bloomberg) -- The train bombings in Madrid yesterday that killed 198 people ``could be a precursor'' to attacks on the U.S., Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge said in Bangkok.

Interesting timing for a Red Cross warning in New York paper this week.

Red Cross Emergency Warning (New York Daily News - March 8, 2004)
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/local/story/171332p-149520c.html

One in four New Yorkers haven't taken the most basic steps to prepare for an emergency - and less than half know basic first aid, a Red Cross survey found.

Even after the terror attacks and last summer's blackout, 25% of New Yorkers say they are "not very" or "not at all" prepared for an emergency, the poll of 602 adults showed.
A quarter of New Yorkers don't have an emergency kit, 56% don't know CPR or first aid and 36% don't have a plan to communicate with family members in a crisis.

Theresa Bischoff, CEO of the Greater New York American Red Cross, called the results a "wakeup call" that should spur New Yorkers to think ahead.

"You can't predict what will happen, but you can prepare," she said.

The Red Cross recommends New Yorkers have a disaster plan that includes a meeting place and an emergency kit to be kept at the office with water, flashlights and perhaps a pair of sneakers.

New Yorkers interviewed in Chelsea yesterday had a variety of excuses for not being prepared.

"I have a flashlight," shrugged Jeffrey Thomas, 26, an actor. "If something's gonna happen, it's gonna happen and I'll deal with it when it happens."

The Red Cross is starting a weekly disaster-planning class at its Manhattan headquarters. For more information, go to www.nyredcross.org.

If our Homeland Security Chief thinks this could be a precursor to attacks on the U.S., he surely mustn't have ETA in mind.

didn't realize I was interrupting a high school clique thread.

You are terribly wrong about that kinghorse. This is no clique. This is not high school. We are adults from all over the country and we all offer input, opinions and information to this thread, which we all assimilate in whatever manner we choose. Perhaps if this thread is not for you, there are others you can choose to be part of. Steve Quayle sells items on his site true. Be aware, however maintaining a website costs money. If you disagree with Steve's information or his site, don't go there again. It is really quite simple. By the way, FR always welcomes people who have information that contributes to the thread. If you have some other agenda, please take it elsewhere. Have a good day.
