The Energy Department's inspector general says the U.S.
government can't account for 14,000 kilograms of highly enriched uranium.

The material, which could be used to make nuclear weapons, has been distributed to 33 nations since the Atoms for Peace program started in the mid-1950s. What ultimately happened to it all is a mystery, the inspector general says.

I thought the whole report was interesting, did you read it all?

the thought of changing our Constitution so that a foreign born could be our president scares me.

I was worried for years that Kissinger was so high up in power and look at him now, openly supports the communists and muslims.

Did you notice at the Nuc News site, that the Kennedy papers that are about Kissinger, have now been released to the public.

Khadr: `We are an Al Qaeda family'

Canadians tell of ties to bin Laden

Abdurahman Khadr worked for the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency to identify Al Qaeda members at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and in Afghanistan and Bosnia-Herzegovina, CBC Television said last night.

The revelation, in a promo for tonight's instalment of a CBC documentary on the Khadr family, confirms a Dec. 31 report in the Star that said Abdurahman was released from U.S. detention at Guantanamo in return for leading U.S. intelligence forces to his father and associates.

Last night's instalment offered this portrait of the Khadrs:

They were an Al Qaeda family whose children were born in Canada but grew up in training camps in Afghanistan.

Osama bin Laden was counted as a close personal friend.

Dying for a cause is the most direct route to heaven and, according to at least one family member, the Sept. 11 attacks gave the Americans what "they deserve."

These were the frank statements made by the relatives of Canadian Ahmed Said Khadr in last night's documentary.

They are the latest revelations of a former Scarborough family, who moved to Pakistan to apparently do charity work, and the first direct admission that Khadr, his wife, daughter and four sons supported Al Qaeda.

"(My father) respected (bin Laden) for a person who is standing up for something he believes in, who's willing to sacrifice for it, who's doing a lot of good for people who are helping him," Khadr's daughter Zaynab told the CBC.

CBC producer Nazim Baksh and reporter Terence McKenna spent two months interviewing the family members here and abroad......(snipped, long article)

He describes a scene where his family was watching video footage after the September, 2001 attacks: "When I saw the video, I was looking at it you know and everyone was smiling and laughing and I was just looking at it. I saw this person jumping out of the building and I didn't think it was funny ... what was going through that person's mind," he said.

"My father said, `What's your problem?' and I said `I don't know. I don't think this is right and it's going to cause a lot of trouble ... you hit so much people who were in that building.'"

Abdurahman said his father responded: "Well they pay taxes and the taxes get guns and guns kill Muslims. We're hitting (the) American economy and there is collateral damage."

Yeah granny, since the first time I heard that this was being discussed (considered) I have cringed. I thought why don't they just bring bin Laden on over and make him president. The a$$holes that are for this are too blind to see that it is today's immigrants that is trying to change every thing we stand for. No prayer in schools and other areas, no christmas decorations, symbols, etc.

Thieves Steal Police Equipment From Supply Store
Stolen Items Include Badges, Handcuffs

SOQUEL, Calif. -- Santa Cruz County authorities are extremely concerned about a theft report out of Soquel.

The stolen items include police badges, batons, handcuffs, knives, pepper spray and other equipment from a supply store that sells to police officers and firefighters.

In all, the storeowner says the thieves took $7,500 worth of equipment after disabling a new alarm system on Monday.

They allegedly took the front door off its hinges and crawled under the building to cut alarm and phone wires.

The storeowner says he has no idea who might have stolen from him, but he said some sheriffs uniforms were taken from a storage shed behind his shop in December and those have not been caught yet either.

Meanwhile, Los Gatos police are still trying to figure out who stole an FBI sedan and set it on fire. While the car was found, two guns and some ammunition were not.

The two cases may be coincidence, but it does cause concern because stolen police gear is still out there, NBC11's Ethan Harp reported.

If you should get pulled over and have any reason to be suspicious, ask for a supervisor to come to the scene. A real officer will have no problem with that, Harp said.

Another VX Leak:

No Sign of Leak at Newport Depot Despite Alarm (Indianapolis)

03-03-04 Tests at the Newport chemical depot turned up no sign of a leak of deadly VX nerve agent, even though an alarm sounded.

Officials at the depot in western Indiana say a monitor set to detect airborne particles of the nerve agent sounded yesterday afternoon. The monitor was in an area where workers are dismantling the former VX production site.

Depot spokeswoman Terry Arthur says medical staff checked ten workers for possible exposure. Tests revealed the monitor did not malfunction, but detected some sort of chemical.
