SANAA, Yemen, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A purported statement by al-Qaida in Yemen warned Saturday of a "major strike" soon in the United States.

The statement, distributed by the Yemeni Tagamoo Party for Reforms, said: "A major strike, a big event will take place in America soon," reminiscent of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Bob was showing me that they set up the boxes (about the size of a cereal box, that beamed light and hit something on the modified tractor, so that the farm field could be leveled to a fraction of an inch. It helped with the irrigation water.

It's just a LASER leveling device. The "box" has a laser pointer spinning on a turntable. You level the turn table and the pointer traces a perfectly level plane. The modified tractor uses a sensor to lock onto the plane produced by the spinning laser pointer. That gives a constant height reference over the entire field. The constant reference can be used to drive a perfectly level plowing of the surface or an intentional slope to permit drainage in a desired direction.

But once again, they don't say what it was, just that it definitely wasn't anthrax or ricin. Does this bother anyone else?

Boone, February 17, 2004 - Authorities say they still don't know what the white powder found in the mail room of a Boone company is, but they do know for sure two things that powder is not.

Nine people have been quarantined after officials found a white powder in an envelope at Brooks City-Base today.

No one is complaining of sickness and no one was taken to a hospital, but the nine are being held for observation, San Antonio Fire Department officials said.

About 120 people, mostly University of Georgia students, have been treated since Wednesday for nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, university and local health officials said.

Health officials said they believe a virus is causing the ailments. They have not found any evidence linking the students to each other that would suggest food-borne illness. The sick students live in different residence halls and eat at different locations.
