SANAA, Yemen, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A purported statement by al-Qaida in Yemen warned Saturday of a "major strike" soon in the United States.
The statement, distributed by the Yemeni Tagamoo Party for Reforms, said: "A major strike, a big event will take place in America soon," reminiscent of the Sept. 11 attacks.

True, but then the question is why are sky marshals needed on this particular flight on this particular day as opposed to any other flight or day.

I'm sure I've read somewhere that the prions of Madcow disease aren't killed in autoclaving. Don't know about incineration though.

Airlines offer what they call Counter to Counter shipping of packages. Package owner need not be on flight. I am not sure if they still offer this since 9/11.

Well, we know they've used the mosque's in Afghanistan and elsewhere to hide weapons, themselves, and who knows what all.
Exactly. Nothing is valuable to these lunatics. I think we'll never know real peace, again, until all these fanatics are killed. The sooner, the better. I do believe it's us or them, and no inbetween.

I have posted on my homepage a fascinating article concerning the recovery of MiG fighters with advanced Russian and French electronics found buried 10' beneath the Iraqi desert. Evidentally it is something "we" are not talking about according to the article.

Yes. I was going to quote you the source of that "daleel" stuff, but lo and behold, the lycos.uk site it came from is all gone. Imagine that.

Blix Fears Iraq Weapons Reports Distortion Thu Feb 12, 1:04 PM ET
By KARL RITTER, Associated Press Writer
STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Former chief U.N. weapons inspector Hans Blix said Thursday he was sure President Bush's election campaign would twist his reports on Saddam Hussein's arsenal to justify the war in Iraq.
In a telephone interview with The Associated Press, Blix said his reports on Iraq's suspected weapons of mass destruction to the U.N. Security Council had already been misinterpreted by pro-war governments, including neighboring Denmark.
"Many of these politicians have put exclamation marks where we put question marks," Blix said. "We never said that there were (weapons of mass destruction). We said there could be."
When asked whether members of the Bush campaign may try to alter the meaning of his reports to back the decision to invade Iraq, he said: "I'm sure they will." He added he has not seen any signs that it has happened yet.
The Bush administration has repeatedly denied allegations that it exaggerated information about Iraq's weapons development for political purposes or to gain support for the war. Blix has previously criticized both President Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair for overstating the weapons case.
In a 173-page dossier on Saddam's weapons presented before the war, Blix said Iraq had failed to show it had destroyed all of its anthrax supplies and Scud missile warheads filled with deadly biological and chemical agents.
Pro-war advocates, including British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, used the dossier to support their argument that Saddam posed a threat to the region and the world.
But Blix doubted the dossier, presented March 6, 2003, influenced the decision to go to war two weeks later.
"This dossier cannot have affected American decision-makers because at that point the war was already on its way," he said.
The U.S.-led coalition hasn't found any evidence of banned weapons since it launched the invasion.
Both Blix and David Kay, a U.S. weapons hunter in Iraq, have since said they don't believe there were any banned weapons there when the war started.
Blix retired from his job as chief U.N. inspector last summer and now heads a Stockholm-based commission on preventing the spread and buildup of weapons of mass destruction.

(Just because you did not see it or read it, that does not mean it did or did not happen.)

I've never believed anything that Blix has to say. Nothing.
Be back after nap.

is there a list anywhere of all the flights cancelled since maybe late November? Maybe the times and dates have some connection?

I do remember reading somewhere, could have been here for all I know, that there was a concern about the pilots, or flight crew. Anybody else read or hear anything about that?
To: Try2Discern
I do recall that, but if that was the case with this particular flight, then why not just change the flight crew?
