SANAA, Yemen, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A purported statement by al-Qaida in Yemen warned Saturday of a "major strike" soon in the United States.
The statement, distributed by the Yemeni Tagamoo Party for Reforms, said: "A major strike, a big event will take place in America soon," reminiscent of the Sept. 11 attacks.

That is a really Lame thing to say after all of these people just lost there lives trying to do what we wanted them to do. He should be talking about what we are going to do to try and prevent this from happening again. Not saying OH WELL Crap Happens! Of course Rumsfeld has always given me the creeps. I sense a scary cynicism in him.

I don't know about them being cornered thecabal, but I do take them at their threats. That letter that the Kurds got off of the AQ courier makes it sound like they are getting frustrated and desperate. That, along with the two big suicide bombings in Iraq in the last 24 hours had me a little concerned. And let's not forget all of the public warnings about nukes getting out and the Paki nuke supermarket being exposed. I'm sure our SpecOps forces have been hot on that trail. Once again, it may be time for them to use IT or lose IT. I'm sure they know that our boys will be slitting some throats soon when they find out who got the nuke materials.

Desperate people tend to do desperate acts as a last resort. Excuse me but I do not know where the word desperate comes into play with these blood thirsty animals. The word to me should be determined. They are determined to kill us and anyone who lifts a hand to help us. They are determined not desperate. They have been determined since the early 90s to wipe us and Israel off the face of the earth.

Well you may be right. It all depends on how you interperate the word. I might say determined, but also desperate in that I would hope that our intell, Military and security is making it very difficult for them.

CNN read a couple of sentences of it awhile ago and it stated something to the effect of cutting off the ears, eyes, legs, etc. of those in Iraq that are helping the coalition and that the Shia would be taken care of with car and suicide bombers. I think that our government or maybe it was just the media relaying their interpertation of the letter. Then tonight I have heard some say that it could have been a signal. It could have been calling for more of their reenforcement.
