Thousands of large sardines, some up to a foot long Hmmm, which line do I use . . ?
"Are they sure the nuke plant isn't leaking?"
-or-
"How do they get them into the tins?"

Thousands of sardines die at San Onofre nuclear plant
"The horror...the horror..."
At least that's what today's bloated Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) would probably
say at the thought of all those munchy little fishies not being available
for the next buffet...

He said that in an average day about 200 pounds of fish
200 lbs? Michael Moore could afford to lose 200 lbs., let's keep this kill in perspective.

Thousands of large sardines, some up to a foot long, died this week when they were sucked into intake tunnels at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, officials said.
They must have been packed into the tunnels like...well, you know.
The dead sardines will be dried and taken to a landfill.
Can't be dumping any wet sardines now, can we.

That can't be good.

Sad, hope they can figure out a way to be more fish friendly. No reason not to spend a little time thinking about how to prevent this type of useless waste of life.

Thousands of large sardines, some up to a foot long...Obviously the statistics were gathered by a man. Women on the scene reported that they were more like 6 inches....

You young people can't leave well enough alone. First you had to take the keys away and put your fancy, shmancey pop-tops on the cans. Then you make us look twice to make sure you aren't sneaking mustard or hot sauce into them. Now you're breeding God's perfect tiny snack critters to obscene lengths. Whatsamatter, you whippersnappers trying to make up for personal inadequecies again? Where do you expect us on limited incomes to find foot-long crackers? And just because we don't see as well as we used to doesn't mean we have to have everything glow in the dark. Golderned insolent (grumble grumble).
