" I don't think CBS will sue MTV, someone has posted that they're both owned by Viacom. LOL! Then they really are stuck aren't they? Let the piling on begin. It couldn't happen to a nastier pair of networks.

MTV Statement on Super Bowl XXXVIII Halftime Incident
Sunday February 1, 11:03 pm ET
HOUSTON, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The tearing of Janet Jackson's costume was unrehearsed, unplanned, completely unintentional and was inconsistent with assurances we had about the content of the performance.

Yikes! Some of the ugliest nipples I have seen in a looooong time! Thanks for the warning! ;)

Mel Torme is no longer with us. The Velvet Fog would still be an improvement over Kid Rock and Justin Timberlake.
When halftime hit, I turned to ESPN News, which had a countdown on how long the halftime had to run. When it hit zero, I turned back. Missed the whole thing and it sounds like it's a good thing I did.
So much for NFL standing for "No Fun League", huh? Sheesh.

It was during a family television hour, and during one of the most widely watched shows of the year.
It doesn't matter what part was shown, none should have been. It's about the principle of the thing, AND...it's all about slidin' further on down that slippery slope.
Thank you for doing so much to assist our country in its ride into the gutter, x42! I hope you're happy.

CBS has to have approved this show. With all the grinding and gyrating going on on MTV, I don't think they show bare breasts. Since they are in the same company, how could this have been done without CBS's knowledge? I don't think JJ and Timberlake would do it on their own.

Christ did not die so we could watch the Super Bowl. No. He died so that the Panthers could beat the point spread and I could win $50. BTW, I think MTV and CBS should be nailed for this stunt but this Christian cr@p on the thread is equally ludicrous...However, I'll wait for that pithy Bible verse to support your position.

Having just seen the "closeup" on drudge, It is a nipple shield with the nipple poking through and the bar through the nipple holding the shield in place. A nice piece, but not the proper venue for displaying her body jewelry...
