[history]
Wise-cracking funnyman Al Franken yesterday body-slammed a demonstrator to the ground after the man tried to shout down Gov. Howard Dean. The tussle left Franken's trademark thick-rim glasses broken, but he said he was not injured.
Franken - who seemed in a state of shock and out of breath after the incident - was helped back to his feet by several people who watched the tussle. Police arrived soon after.

Franken is severely disturbed and not taking his anti-psychotic medications as prescribed. I remember when he was drunk and/or delusional and shoving himself into the benign Sean Hannity's face trying to start a fistfight for no apparant reason at a charity dinner.

grabbing him with a bear hug from behind and slamming him onto the floor. Is that assault or battery? Why isn't he in jail for the night?

I also would add that this is liberalism at its finest:
free speech only for the annointed ones.

"...he was drunk and/or delusional and shoving himself into the benign Sean Hannity's face..." I thought that incident involved O'Reilly and Franken, or is there two such incidents.

I was confused because in a different incident Franken also went after Alan Colmes, the liberal co-host with Hannity.

Al Franken seems to get involved in fights. If Rush Limbaugh was a bar room brawler, you'd never heard an end of from liberals.

Think of his victim. Imagine how you would feel to be the guy who got his butt kicked by Al Franken. I would be ashamed to show my face in public for months.

The guy should sue for Franken's first year profits from his liberal radio show.

No, wait, that wouldn't be much.
To: FormerACLUmember
Are we sure Al is a liberal? Because I always heard that they were pacifist defenders of the right of free speech. I mean, hitting guys to shut them up--that sounds like a Nazi or a Republican or something.

Actually there were two similar incidents. When the O'Reilly/Franken altercation happened, Hannity mentioned it on his radio show and recalled Franken screaming at him in the past and having to call security.

Funny how libs bitch and whine about Bush's "Free Speech Zones" but expect THE EXACT SAME THING for their candidates.
To: jaykay
Franken has an absolutely flat affect and always struck me as totally unfunny. His delusional behavior suggests he is a highly intelligent paranoid schizophrenic.
If so, I hope the liberals double their investment in this delightful person, so that he can totally self-destruct on their dime.

Franken is severely disturbed and not taking his anti-psychotic medications as prescribed. I've suspected the Stuart Smally character was derived from first hand experience on the couch.
