Charles Welty started writing in radio in 1976. After completing an award-winning radio documentary (The Spirit in 76), he went on to produce a series of public service announcements (radio and television) for the Faith America Foundation. Mr. Welty was later retained to write the screenplay for Minnesota Connection, based on the popular Warner paperback. (The picture starred Joseph Campanella and Rosie Greer.)
Charles Welty joined the Writers Guild of America in 1981. Mr. Welty went on to write and co-produce the pilot for a television series, Build it, America!, which was produced by CCR Video in Hollywood, a publicly-traded company. In 1984, he wrote a full-length treatment for a motion picture fantasy adventure called Altarions Hero. After writing and producing numerous radio and television commercials for a number of years, Mr. Welty went on to write a feature-length science fiction mystery/thriller for theatrical release, The Rankin Paradox.
In 1997, Mr. Welty began the background research on Forever the Boys, and recommended writer-director Mark Byers to prepare the first draft of the screen story for the picture. Mr. Welty went on to prepare the first draft of the screenplay for Forever the Boys, the biographical motion picture on the life and work of the Three Stooges.
In 1998, Mr. Welty began to develop Venture Theater, a 45-minute stage play on entrepreneurship for young people. He completed the screenplay for Without Due Process, a political-action thriller, in 2001. Mr. Welty completed the script for The Problem of Cell 13, a suspense thriller, in October of 2001. He completed Ben-Yehuda in October of 2002.
Mr. Welty completed Ludington's Ride in January of 2003 and Ludington's Ride 2 and Ludington's Ride 3 in November of 2003. He is now writing the story outline for Ameristan, a political-action thriller.

Maybe we should consider a new title. I am not sure. And it ceartinly is not my call. I am just a guest here really. There are others who have done most of the contributing way far and above me. I am happy in any case in whatever they decide. But old habbits die hard...LOL

Are you kidding? You all are kitty cats. Let's just get this cleared up. Do you want to continue this thread's theme? Or do you want to us the above thread I suggested and update your original post? If you continue with this thread, I'd suggest a new thread every 5000 posts or so to help us out with moderating stuff and not to bog down the system. So, you're probably due to start a new thread anyway. Just let us know what you all decide. Thanks.

There are a lot of people who don't seem to be here right now. So it would be nice if you give us some time to decide...so that everyone has a say. What ever you do...Please don't move this (soon to be old) thread to chat. Did you know that all previous links will not work if you do that ? That is what happened with the last thread. After you click on the link to chat you end up at the top of the page.
Thanks.

Some good 'info' here.

I think that thread 3 was a fake, it seems to have been pulled.

Did you see the Drudge Report headline? "The Nuclear Supermarket". Pakistan has been selling nuke materials to Iran, North Korea, Libya and others. Everyone is rushing to "shutdown" the "supermarket". Methinks it's a bit late for that. Shopping's done. The main course may be served soon.

Excellent post, thank you.
Although I do not trust Putin I am not ready to assume that Russia is ready or willing to attack the USA. I feel that N. Korea is more of a urgent threat to America than is Russia. I also feel that the brewing's in South America are more of a concern, given a few years.
Is Russia trying to quietly exert authority in other areas? I believe so, former Yugoslavia as an example. Are fanatical Muslims trying to exert authority over former Russia areas? Obviously, Chechnya. But I don't believe any of this is reason for Russia to attack America.
Is AQ a proxy of/for a proxy? Wouldn't surprise me. But I would suspect Iran, Syria or Saddam's Iraq as well as coordination with other terrorist groups (Hamas, Hezbollah, etc.) before Russia.
Welcome to FR. Glad you gave up your lurking days.

I guess it time for you all to decide if you want to update the thread name. I stated my opinnon few posts back. I am ok either way. But They do want us to post a new thread. So you all need to decide...and take a vote on what to call it.

"somebody started a "thread 3" thread, is that official? why isn't this one locked if we are moving to thread three."
I saw and read it. Very rational. Now it is gone!
