If this has any credibility, maybe there has been an ongoing drip of these 300 coming into the US over the past several months.

Maybe they have been here all along. Remember it has not been a year, maybe not even six months that our government informed us of sleepers and they did not know who and where they were. And keep in mind they do not always have to be mideasterners or mideast looking.

but on the flip side, alot is being done to find them. these sleepers would have to be very "deep" to escape detection and surveillance. they would have to essentially be living normal americans lives, not communicating regularly with their handlers, not getting any money from them, etc, just sitting around waiting for a single phone call and knowing exactly what to do when it came.

Continental Flight 1519 does not have clearance from Homeland Security per Fox News.

in this case, since it was a domestic flight, I wonder if the better strategy would not have been to let everyone board, and then taxi the plane to some remote hangar at Dulles and let it sit for a while. Monitor the cell phone calls coming from the plane as it sat there, and see what shakes loose.

There has been a lot of talk of biochemical attacks today on the news. So that might be a reason for not letting people board the planes. Jay Rockerfella has been on Fox News today and Fox has repeated the interview where Rockerfella states that we do not know how and cannot stop a biological attack.

well, you could also make a case that it would be better to contain the biological agent aboard a plane, then to cancel the flight and allow the person carrying the agent to escape, to be anywhere.

Clearly a release of smallpox as an attack scenario is ripe for all that exposition. A release at a major airport hub would be even more effective and much harder to subject to decent epidemiological analysis.

And how long have we been sitting at our computers trying to decipher the messages that are being passed on the net. Can anyone be sure of what possible encryted messages are being sent by Mullah Omar and others? I for one believe we still have enemies amongst us.

we do still have them. but the NSA monitors alot of stuff. i mean, where do you think all of these "alerts" are coming from? how, at the last minute, does DHS figure out to cancel a particular flight from Dulles to Houston? Its an intercept of some kind.

its a DC to Houston flight, but where did it originate from? is this the second leg of a flight from Europe?

The flight most likely originated in Elpaso, stopped in Houtson (IAH), and flew on to DC. Flight 518, which most likely would have become 1519 is en route to DC now, should be landing in a few minutes.
