He he! I knew you would come back swinging, Sean. You were easy on him considering the tons of info you could have sent his way if you had the time and if this board could accomodate it.

I've been wondering about Hawaii for some reason. Many of the jihad posts re: islands and other things have made me think about that area. I wonder if they would love to pull another Pearl Harbor? Although we are much better protected there now. Just a thought, I just don't know what to think anymore it seems we are spinning our wheels trying to figure this stuff out.

Sifting through that rambling and awful translation leaves the following impressions: intent to do serious economic damage to the U.S., the probable existence of Russian suitcase nukes on U.S. territory, the intent to damage the electric grid via inside sabotage of computers at nuclear generating plants and the intent to spread disease via migratory birds.
Arabic syntax and semantics don't resemble English syntax and symantics. That "translation" was a barely suitable exercise in word substitution.

Yes. The idea here, if I got it right, is old attack on the left AND on the right side are the current leaders/military. History old and new?

European Airliners Again Target of Threats

WASHINGTON (AP) - New intelligence indicates that British Airways flights from London to Washington and Air France flights from Paris to an unspecified U.S. city could be terrorist targets, U.S. officials said Friday.
Some of the flights are the same as those that drew increased attention when the nation's terror alert was raised to orange, or high, just before Christmas. Two officials who spoke on condition of anonymity stressed there is no specific information about what might be planned, only that those flights are possible targets.
There are no plans to raise the terror alert because of the latest threats, Homeland Security Department spokesman Brian Roehrkasse said.

Well, other articles/sites were saying it was also the same Air France route that was threatened...CDG to LAX...but this article specifically contradicts that...and someone seems to know plenty more than they are leading us to believe b/c a law enforcement person basically says expect delays...at least from my reading of his quote...
New Concern Is Expressed About Flights From Abroad

ASHINGTON, Jan. 30 American officials said on Friday that they had received new information in recent days pointing to the possibility of an international hijacking and were considering the grounding of several flights from England and France over the weekend as a result.
Officials said terrorist intelligence that they considered "specific and credible" raised particular concerns about British Airways flights from London to Washington and Air France flights. Officials would not disclose the Air France flights but said they were not on the Paris-to-Los Angeles route on which flights were grounded in December.
"It's very similar to what we saw over the Christmas and New Year's holidays, and a repeat of that situation with the cancellation of some flights is a high probability," a law enforcement official said.
There were no cancellations as of Friday night, officials said.
At the end of December, United States officials became so alarmed about the threat of an international hijacking that they raised the nation's threat status to "orange," or high risk. Numerous flights into and out of the United States on British Airways, Air France and Aeromexico were canceled or subjected to extraordinary security measures. One flight from Mexico City to Los Angeles turned around in mid-flight because American officials were not satisfied that passengers and baggage had been properly screened.
The threat level was lowered on Jan. 9 to "yellow."
This week, a "re-scrubbing" of intelligence gleaned from the orange alert, along with new intelligence developed from an informant, again raised the specter of an international aviation attack, the law enforcement official said. The threats, corroborated by other sources, including information on specific flights.
"We remain concerned," said Brian Roehrkasse, a spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security, "about Al Qaeda's desire to target aviation, especially international aviation." But he said there were no plans to elevate the threat status.

CNN just reported breaking news at the top of the hour..... that a new threat has been recieved by the US in the last 48 hours to use an aircraft to attack either Washington DC or LA. The flights mentioned are Air France and British Airways. CNN is reporting that this threat has been judged to be credible .......and not rehashed intelligence from last months warnings.
