Many of you know of my father. He is a combat vet of World War II of the Pacific Theater of Operations (PTO). Fomr time to time I have posted his articles have here on FR in the past and there have been several prayer threads for him due to his heart conditions, where the faith of others on his behalf, coupled with his own faith and the will of a loving Heavenly Father and the mercy of His son Jesus Christ, have worked miraculously on his behalf.
Now, he has suffered another heart attack...his kidneys are failing...his lungs are filling with fluid and fluid is collecting around his heart.
I was just called in the last hour by two of my brothers indicating I need to come immediately...that he may not survive the night.
So, myself and my family (wife and two boys at home) are heading down there now.
I will not be able to check this thread for potentially several days, but request your prayers on behalf of my father nonetheless.
I will call a couple of FReepers over the next couple of days and update them who can then update this thread.
I have faith in God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ and in their will...whatever that may be. We of course pray and hope he is preserved yet again...but also know that if the Lord chooses to bring him home it is because he has a greater work for him there...and will then look forward to that day, in the bye and bye, when we are united again in the love and bosom of our Savior.
Thanks in advance...please also remember my terminally ill brother and my elderly mother in your prayers, who herself is not in good health and who is being emotuionally effected by this as you can imagine.
I thank you all my FReeper and American and liberty loving friend everywhere.
Sincerely,
Jeff

Oh Jeff, I am so sorry. My prayers for you and your family, especially your mother. May God grant you comfort. I know how hard it is to lose your father, there is always a bond there like no other, and there is nothing anyone can say that will make it better.
Please know that we are here for you, and be comforted by the fact that your father was such a good man that there will be legions of angels to welcome him to his reward.

We will pray for you and your family in your loss. Please accept our condolences.
ALL that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. He that raised up Jesus from the dead will also quicken our mortal bodies, by his Spirit that dwelleth in us. Wherefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. Thou shalt show me the path of life; in thy presence is the fulness of joy, and at thy right hand there is pleasure for evermore.

Dear Jeff,
I'm sorry, I didn't see this until today. My heart goes out to you and your family, and my deepest prayers for your father, you, and your entire family are going up now.
You know that you are among friends who love you - please don't hesitate to FReepmail me if you need to. It's been almost 10 years since my father passed away suddenly, and the support and prayers of friends after the initial shock is so necessary.
with love and God's blessings...

Praying for you and your family. Your father sounds like he was a wonderful man. The Lord has called him home. May you be comforted in this difficult time.
My dad passed away 14 years ago. I still miss him very much. I can say that the pasaage of time does help to ease the burden some. Take things one day at a time. The Peace of our Lord be with you and your family. Amen

To: Jeff Head
I will keep your entire family in my prayers, Jeff.
I know a little of what you're going through. My grandfather 18 months ago and my uncle about a week ago.
Sometimes it's as hard on the family that's left as it is on the loved ones that are moving on.
