Who's McNabb? The Eagles started Michael Vick in this game.

Even not catching it can have good effect. If you're taking stabs down field the opposing D must respect the deep threat, which keeps guys away from the line and is really helpful with a scrambling QB. IMHO teams with good scrambling QBs should take 3 stabs deep a quarter.

There's that famous Philadelphia choke. 1-2-3 punt.

I just got here. Has anyone pointed out that McNabb is overated by the press because of their desire to have a black quarterback succeed?Hmmmm... not yet... but based on today's AFC Championship game, I am wondering if Peyton Manning is overrated because the press wants a white QB to succeed. LOL.

"No one pays to see punters, but there has been some pretty good punting so far..."
Remember that Rams game during their SB year when a foot never touched the ball (I think both kickers were injured)? They went for it every 4th down and went for 2 every TD -- IIRC it was like a 50+ point game.

Bet the Panthers don't come out with three consecutive passes like the last drive...

I am noticing that the two nose guards for Carolina are puging the middle, preventing McNabb runs up the middle.

Vick is playing? I thought he had a permanent injury.

Oh Leaf has talent, he played the Chargers like a fiddle to get a huge front loaded contract and a lot of money to not do squat. That takes a certain amount of talent of the used car salesman variety.

Actually, McNabb is a pretty good quarterback. He's no Joe Montana, but he's good enough to win a Superbowl. I don't think many coaches would bench him.
Vick has flashes of Montana when he's healthy.

I don't think throwing three times was a mistake. No matter how one sided your success is you shouldn't become one sided in play calling... until you're nursing a fat lead of course then it's run every down.
