Pat Robertson said Friday that God told him President Bush will be re-elected in a landslide.
"I think George Bush is going to win in a walk," the religious broadcaster said on his "700 Club" program on the Virginia Beach-based Christian Broadcasting Network, which he founded.

"I really believe I'm hearing from the Lord it's going to be like a blowout election . . ." So, it would be God telling Pat straight out, if only Pat had a better connection?

Like I have nothing better to debate with my lib friends than the latest ravings from Pat-friggin'-Robertson. So who appointed you as Pat Robertson's defender? Judging from the rest of your post he'd probably rather not have you defending his "ravings".
The last time I checked it was still afree country and Ameriucans are still free to invoke the name of the Almighty...if that offends you, tough.

I was listening this am and he DID NOT say God told him. He just said He believed Bush will win in a 'blowout'.

(This tagline has been timed to best benefit George W. Bush.)

In the present Kaliyuga one does not hear God's voice except through the mouth of a child or a madman or some such person.

Yeah. I definitely believe Pat has a bad connection... :-)
In some ways I like Pat Robertson and his organization, and in other ways I'd wish he'd just shut the he** up and that feeling grows as he gets older and more embarrassing.
For example, his declaration that God lifted his cloak of protection for the murders of 9/11. Argh! Wonder if he made that same declaration when Robertson became stricken with prostate cancer?

Last time I checked that means we can call Pat Robertson a freaking lunactic too....don't like it? Tough.

Given Pat's record on prophecies and his general moral record, I'd rather he shut up about the whole thing.

Well, good. Now we can donate our money to the 700 Club instead of the Republican National Committee.

If God talked to anyone, Pat Robertson would be last on his list.
Robertson is a complete 100% Blowhard and Hypocrite.
To: will1776
First he says "God told him",then he says I "THINK" G.W. will win? Doesn't seem like he has a lot of confidence in God.

Pat knows the Bible (0r does he?). He should know better than back Bush.

I agree. There's a
BIG difference between saying 'I think...' or 'I believe I'm hearing...' and shouting
'Thus, saith the Lord'. The man is no prophet....merely an outspoken believer.

Pat Robertson: God told him it's Bush in a 'blowout'Unless, of course, GWB bans additional firearms and extends Klintoons '94 "Assault" Weapons Ban or similar conservative-alienating moves.
Then he may join his dad as a one-termer, unless the alternative is Hildebeast.
