Pat Robertson said Friday that God told him President Bush will be re-elected in a landslide.

"I think George Bush is going to win in a walk," the religious broadcaster said on his "700 Club" program on the Virginia Beach-based Christian Broadcasting Network, which he founded.

I had hoped the Lord would be above partisan politics...

Pat, I think you're a nut. God told you no such thing.

Did God manage to pass on any Powerball numbers???

I expect Rev. Robertson to announce this joyous windfall to his ministry sometime in the near future.

A vote for Bush is a vote for G-. You wouldn't vote against G-, would you?

No I wouldn't vote against God, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'll be voting for Bush. If I feel another candidate would do a better job of helping to turn this nation back to a Constitutional Republic doesn't mean I'm voting against God if I voted for someone else.

The quote doesn't quite match the headline.

Robertson still shouldn't say things like this.

The AP is once again trying to make all Christians look nutty through Pat Robertson's bizarre remarks.

I always thought our leader Dubya was God's annointed, but now I know for sure.

Fine, a no brainer, but what the Big Guy say about the Super Bowl?

Forget the Super Bowl, just give me the winning numbers for the next Powerball jackpot.

Whew!

This means President Bush can stop fund-raising & campaigning. That'll sure save a lot of time, money and energy on W's part.

Let us cancel the election and declare Bush as the next President of the USA! This would save lots of tax payers' dollars.

But then we'd miss the experience of watching the Dims implode when they get crushed. They'll choke on all those "stolen election" whines.

Just shut it, Robertson. Keep your lunatic "voice of God" prophecies to yourself.

Let's not forget Robertson claimed God told him he should run for President. And of course he failed miserably.

What a kook. Let's hope he doesn't put the jinx on Bush.

I don't know why either. It looks similiar to tabloidish tarot card reading with a Christian spin on it.

Bush will win in a walk, provided EVERYONE gets out and votes. If they begin to think it's a cakewalk and they're too busy to vote the whole world could come crashing down on us.

Take NOTHING for granted, get out and vote and make sure everyone you know does too (unless they're liberals)

Exactly!! Robertson's comments on his tv show (it wasn't a press conference) are not newsworthy. The press picked this up in an effort to make Republicans look like religious zealots.

For example, his declaration that God lifted his cloak of protection for the murders of 9/11. Argh! Wonder if he made that same declaration when Robertson became stricken with prostate cancer?

I thought that was Jerry Falwell who made the 9/11 statement?

Don't let the "big name" of Pat Robertson (I don't like him very much at all!) bias the message. God told me the same thing. At least, I have this feeling about it, the same feeling I had in 2000, the feeling that never went away between Election Night and in December, when that whole debacle was finally over.
