Many on the left will be voting Bush in 2004. The DNC has been literally cornered with the inability to logically provide an acceptable alternative to conservative proposals, it's simply been the negative play book same old song and dance routine with no counter ideas.
Many people feel Bush has given too much to win acceptance of the left voters yet he now has their approval. How many of them are now willing to relinquish such legislature as tax cuts...? How many would not support Iraq?
The point is a lot of the people have something interesting to say. I hear them on EIB all the time. Why couldn't we create a forum for them as an introduction to FR and determine where it takes us? Maybe it makes sense for the leftist converts to be watching over and/or designing this.
I simply believe there is more ripe area into which expansion is a possibility. One must take chances, it's what I used to tell my employees, evolve or die.

I am an example of a die hard democrat who saw the light and switched parties. It can happen, and hopefully more will do the same when they wake up to the fact that their party has been hijacked by socialists who are hell bent on destroying the country as we know it. I don't know that Jim would create a special section of FR for them however.

Interisting. Im actually a registered democrat (haven't taken the time to change that yet). I actually found the free republic through the Democratic Underground. I stumbled upon their site, Posted, and was quickly booted. They said to go back to Free Republic and I ended up here. In my opinion, you guys are doing a fine job helping moderate dems go cold turkey... They don't seem to mind sending people your way either.

I agree. But I would not absolve Dems by saying socialism was imposed on them (party was hijacked). They chose this path over many years as a party.

Not all of them did, most of the general Mom and Pop democrats out there don't even know yet that it happened. I agree the leaders chose it however, and those that are active. But just your average voter who pays little attention, no way, and there aren't many ways for them to find out on reality TV shows, and Oprah!
