Action Alert - Your help is needed!

State Attorney Bernie McCabe has refused to investigate charges of physical abuse against a disabled Pinellas County woman - even though a bone scan indicated trauma. Mr. McCabe has refused to investigate well-founded allegations of abuse, neglect and exploitation against the same disabled woman - even though such offenses are felony crimes under Florida law.

In Pinellas County, Florida a woman by the name of Terri Schiavo may have endured physical abuse and neglect at the hands of her guardian and caretakers. These are serious crimes against a vulnerable person and call for immediate and thorough investigation. However, Mr. McCabe has shut down Florida Law Enforcement from doing so.

Will Mr. McCabe commit the same type of cover-up if your loved one is a possible victim? Act now by contacting Mr. McCabe and demanding that he do the job he was elected to do. It is his duty to all Pinellas County citizens.

Yes. Was it necessary for him to contact them personally to convey his position. No. His legal staff prepared inconsequential, and misdirected briefs to give the appearance of action, IMHO. These filings, when read between the lines, were the green light for that arm of the 'system' to move ahead.

Can someone find out what law McCabe is violating by refusing to investigate these crimes against Terri by saying that it is a civil matter and hence he cannot do anything when again there are blatant crimes being committed. If we can find that law then we will have the fulcrum to make him act or be removed. As we will make sure that everyone knows the laws he is breaking. This coming Thursday, Judge Baird is hearing the case of Michael Schiavo v. Jeb Bush. Judge Baird has his own agenda. If Baird rules against Terri, then we're back to square one because even though Jeb Bush will have Appeal Rights, the Appeals Court will probably reaffirm Judge Baird.

In other words, this is another plea that we may need some major assistance after this Thursday and if Jeb is denied on appeal. THEY'LL TRY TO END TERRI'S LIFE FASTER THIS TIME, I'M AFRAID. They have the "privacy" and the "means". Fregards, Floriduh Voter

I plead the shed blood of Christ over Terri, her room and even the door posts of her room. Satan we remind you that as you attempt to destroy this innocent life, that you are confronted by the shed blood of Christ and that you are defeated by the blood. Leave NOW and take every evil spirit with you. You are not permitted in Terri's room and you are not permitted near her person. Father, cause the Spirit of Conviction to rest heavily upon the decision makers in this case. Cause them unrest to the point that they make the decision for life whether they realize why they are making such decision or not. Give them no peace until they do make the right decision. "Judge" Baird, this creature is hardly worthy of the title "judge" or the label "Republican." What a sick "jurist" who can announce his stand before he ever hears the case, and in FL there is just no real way to appeal anything of substance. The people of FL know not what is happening.

I'm not a lawyer, but isn't this more than a civil case, since now it involves a FL State Constitutional issue?

From what I understand, the issue is not something within Terri's Law, but rather "a separation of powers" issue. The Governor and Legislature were acting within the scope of their Constitutionally given powers. Conceivably, couldn't this go all the way to the SCOTUS?

Legislating courts could be given a run for their money, no?
