In a demoralizing message to U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq, visiting New York Sen. Hillary Clinton told them that Americans back home are growing increasingly skeptical of President Bush's decision to send them into battle.
Describing two meetings with G.I.s over turkey dinners in Baghdad, Sen. Clinton told reporters later that soldiers wanted to know "how the people at home feel about what we are doing."
Clinton said she told the troops, "Americans are wholeheartedly proud of what you are doing but there are many questions at home about the (Bush) administration's policies."
She also suggested that the U.S. could eventually loose the war in Iraq, contending, "We have to exert all of our efforts militarily, but the outcome is not assured."
Despite her sour pronouncements, the former first lady insisted that the soldiers were just as glad to see her as they were President Bush, whose surprise visit less than 24-hours earlier was greeted with standing ovations.
"It's a positive for the commander-in-chief to visit troops in the field," Clinton told reporters, adding, "the troops [also] seemed to appreciate seeing myself."
Speaking from a secure location just over the Kuwaiti border, Mrs. Clinton launched one verbal salvo after another at the White House, arguing that Bush officials had been "obsessed" with getting Saddam Hussein and saying the perception blinded them to the difficulties of deposing his regime.
"The Pentagon tried to make do with as few troops as possible, as light a footprint as they could get away with," Clinton said. "Now, we're playing catchup . . . Unfortunately, I don't think they fully appreciated the conditions we would encounter."
The top Democrat also reprised her charge that the White House is being less than candid when it comes to apprising the American people of the costs of the war.
"The obstacles and problems here are much greater than the administration usually admits to," she said, adding, "Everybody has to be honest."

Not only demoralizing to the troops but untrue! Americans are behind the troops in the only way one can be behind the troops, and that's by supporting their mission! It's the one they are fighting and dying for, remember, Hitlerry?

I'm waiting for more questions to be answered to see if there is any other recourse we can take other than writing letters (we all need to continue this; but I'm angrily hoping for more of a recourse).
Bump!!!

The stupid ass.I too better shut my mouth cause I could go on and on about her & him......God forgive me for my thoughts and wishes for both of them !
To: JustPiper
Has anyone been able to get to the Armed Service Committee's website, as well as the individual senators? I tried to send them a message, but the websites are showing as "Cannot be displayed".

Easy Now.
We better be careful or we are liable to get kicked off the board.
Nevertheless, I wish the Lord would be kind to our Sister Hillary and take her to heaven , IMMEDIATELY

She probably also had a highly secretive itinerary, lest the friendly troops detect her on her broom and drill her with AAA or stingers or Hellfires, heck give her everything!
To: Chu Gary
None of that newfangled stuff would work.
The only thing that would "ice" someone like Sister Hillary is a wooden stake thru the heart, If they could find a heart

I know this was a rhetorical question:
How could she do that to those kids for her own possible gain? But here is my answer.
Evil knows no bounds!

Really! Well said. It's a little depressing isn't it.
After seeing that Hillary's words overseas reinforced all our feelings about her never-ending evil, I am left now at the end of the week with a very depressed, hollow feeling, feeling badly for a country that still could elect her, given the protection and promotion the mainstream media gives her.
I will be writing my letters tomorrow to media people about her, and speaking to newspapers and talk shows, but it is all very depressing - that a "woman" of that vile lowness can be in the position she is in. It is sad for the country that was so fine. I am angry but very sad at the same time.

I strongly suggest rather than cursing the darkness, accomplish something positive by lighting a candle. You said it. And write your newspapers and call your local talk shows. Her deeds must be known by all. Again, for a primer on Hillary, I refer anyone to post# 649.

Hillary has more baggage than the hundred planes and over a thousand in the entourage when Slick (Mr. I feel your pain ...pass me one of those special cigars) did his feel good tour through Africa. Over a thousand and a whole Army MASH unit in tow, in case the weinny got a paper cut or needed an emergency herpes shot!
Her and the crooked little p**** are the greatest fund raisers for the Republicans!!! They could not stand up in the open press to the scrutiny of a press that they did not fully control or kiss up to them.
What they have very little closet space left after all the furniture they borrowed from the White House...I'm sure they thought that they would bring it back later when they returned.....
Now with the advent of Fox News, Newsmax, Drudge, and the rest of the Internet they can not control all of the coverage and couldn't hide a whole lot more.
Plus, if you haven't noticed yet...none of the Democrats have been prosecuted for anything that they have done during their years of reign or on the way out yet....you think the FBI files that they got gave them a lot of information to hold...how much of the truth do you think the Bush Admin has let out yet?
As much as they think they are the saviours to the Democrats, Hillary stands less of a chance against Bush in the presidential election than Howard (lock up my records for another ten years...the truth might impend my election) Dean.
What...and she said this to the troops...the same ones whose votes that they wanted to suppress during the last presidential election...This is just another, "I feel your pain" talk and photo op! After saying this to the troops...she should be censured...that will finally put her in the place that she belongs....for now...
God Bless our troops and our President!!!
