A bomb blast has injured at least five people at a mosque in western India, police say.

The bomb exploded during Friday prayers in the town of Parbhani east of the financial capital, Bombay, a police spokesman said.

Could AQ or other muslim operatives blow up a small portion of an Indian mosque to make it look like Islam is under attack. After bomb then Saudi's take terrorists back into their good graces and moslem world is up in arms. Never put it past terrorists to do this for the "greater good" of allah

This doesn't look like Hindi work anyway, riding in on motorcycles and casually lobbing in explosives during prayer. All sounds fishy to me.

Looks like someone wanted to incite the local Muslims. Notice - small explosion, few injured, Friday prayers. It looks like Islamic terrorists wanted to inflame the mob.

I will bookmark that website and check it out, as that is an area of interest to me. I have also read that when the British were conquering India, they accepted Muslim (incorrect) versions of Indian history, knowing that they were false, so as to continue the incorrect understanding of the great antiquity of Hindu civilization. For various reasons, especially to justify the looting of India for their enrichment. A bad time in English history.

The motorcycles modus operandi is reminiscent of the jihadi attack on the American Library in Calcutta in Dec 2001 and also of recent attacks in Afghanistan; motorcycle attacks have been featured in many AQ videos.

Artisans were taken by the Persians, the Turks and the Arabs over the course of history. Central Asians too.

Sometimes I wonder if there is a plot to hide the very ancient history of India. It is never mentioned anywhere, there are thousands of specials on ancient Egypt, China and so on and India is ignored. I think it is because peoples' minds would be blown open too far - if they understood, for starters, that Sanskrit is the most ancient language in the world and the mother of most.

The ruins of Mohanjodaro and Harappa have been neglected for the past 50 years since they are in Pakistan and the Indus valley.

Subterranean layers of these ruins have never been explored.

Not long ago (within the last 6 - 8 months, IIRC) there was found off the western coast of India - in the mouth of a large river, can't remember which one - remains of a city that has been dated at 9500 years ago. Quite advanced remains. No one pays attention, disturbs their minds too much. Indian archeologists are investigating, but I haven't seen anything about it lately. Don't know where to look. blam knows about it.

I agree with you about the Hindu/Muslim confrontations. Of course, there is always the chance that the Islamic extremist element is wanting to stir things up for one reason or another by bombing its own Mosque and blaming the Hindus.....After all, Jihad ain't Jihad if you're not killing anyone.
