A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

I am so po'd about France. All morning long all three cable channels are having alot of 'terror' coverage and all have said that France tipping 'our' hand early that several people didn't bother to show up for the flight. Its said we had a tight net around these terrorist's and from the way Feds are talking 'off' the record the implication is there are a few well known names on our terror watch list.

MEMRI has translations from an online Al Qaeda “magazine” called The Voice of Jihad, in which operatives debate the pros and cons of killing Muslims versus killing infidels. To no one’s surprise, they come out strongly in favor of killing infidels.

But as MEMRI points out, the interesting part of this debate is that the fanatics do not object to the killing of “brother Muslims” on religious grounds; that part of the debate is settled already. They have the right.

They’re more concerned with the public relations and financial side of things:

"Others said we had to preserve the security of this base and of this country [i.e. Saudi Arabia], from which we recruit the armies, from which we take out the young people, and from which we receive [financial] backing. It must therefore remain safe.

“My opinion is an intermediate opinion, between the two groups. It is true that we must keep the enemy preoccupied with himself and not give him a sense of security, because as soon as he secures his bases and his lines of supply, he will have an opportunity to use them to attack our brothers in different parts of the countries of the Islamic world. But we must prepare ourselves and be ready for this momentous event the best way we possibly can. We told them: ‘Wait, we are readying ourselves.’ Then we attacked the Americans.

“It is also true that we must take advantage of this country [Saudi Arabia] because it is the primary source of funds for most Jihad movements, and it has some degree of security and freedom of movement. But we must strike a balance between this and America’s invasion of the Islamic world and its hobbling of the Jihad movement and even of other Islamic movements ... “

It’s all such a problem. What is the devout young jihadi to do? Fortunately there’s a ready answer to get the brothers back on the side of the mujahideen. It’s always party time when they kill Americans:

In an interview in The Voice of Jihad, Louis Attiya Allah (an alias), one of Al-Qa’ida’s leading ideologues, stated: “Regarding the Al-Muhaya operation [the November 8, 2003 bombing in Riyadh], it can be claimed that the house of Salul had some media success in portraying the battle as the killing of Muslims, and in inciting some against the Mujahideen. But this effect is temporary and will disappear if, for example, the Mujahideen strike another blow in America. Then sympathy will return to what it was in the past, and may even increase.”

When asked whether the attacks in Saudi Arabia “caused Mujahideen shares to plummet” in Saudi society, he responded: “That may have happened, but we must look at the matter with a broader view, and place these operations in the framework of the war of the Mujahideen against the whole Western-American plan. At certain stages of this war, the Mujahideen can think they require these operations, despite their high price in terms of morale.”
