Cairo, Egypt-AP -- There are celebrations reported across the Arab world, after the news of more American casualties in Iraq.
Resistance to the occupation is applauded by some who see it as proof that Iraqis weren't totally humiliated by the relative ease of the U-S-led coalition's toppling of Saddam Hussein.
Many Arabs had warned an invasion of Iraq could drag the region into chaos. In Damascus today, foreign ministers from countries bordering Iraq again called on the U-S to restore order in that country.

The media loves reporting arab glee over this sort of thing. It's the way the media gets to punish us for supporting the war effort and for electing and supporting the president who led us into the war. I also think certain elements of the media cheer *vicariously* through the arabs. It's easy to see how the media would be motivated to overreport the celebrations. It would be interesting to know how many actually do cheer, either in the streets or in their hearts. I suspect it's probably far fewer than some would like us to believe.

some of those America is trying to save Two possibilities:
1. they didn't want to be saved in the first place, or
2. they don't have the courage needed to have their own country.
Either way, if they aren't willing to help with the protection of the Americans, they will lose the Americans, who will go home and never be heard of again.

"I do not mean any desrepect or sarcasm but that is why we have remote controls and other cable, tv stations"
That's what make a boycott work.
FOX is not the only source for news.
Personally I'll stick to getting breaking news from FR.

This is exactly the same thing as what's been happening to Israel vis a vis the Palestinian killers!
We're playing nice while our men are being murdered.
How disgusting is that?

BOYCOTT FOX NEWS ... I missed that Tonk. Unfortunate, if so. But it seems that FOX overall has been
a lot more supportive of the Iraq war than the Alphabet News folks.
If we boycott FOX, then what about these folks ?? ...
Boycott ABCNNBCBS et al ...

"Alphabet News"
FOX is part of the Alphabet News
Remember thy co-own VNS with the other Alphabet News group.
VNS said : Gore won FL and FOX was 1st to broadcast it.

To hell with this "winning of hearts and minds" PC horsesh**. We need to win the fear and dread of the entire Muslim world, 'cause that's who we're fighting. Iran, Syria, Egypt, Saudi, Yemen, Turkey, all need to be absolutely flattened, like we did Germany and Japan. To hell with the UN outcry...they'd be so scared of us, they wouldn't dare do anyting more than talk. China and North Korea would then be told that unless they played ball, they'd be next on the a**-kicking block.
Of course, to do this, we'd have to have an administration and a citizenry that were determined to fight this war as a war, and a helluva lot bigger military. I don't think we'll get any of these any time soon.

Of course the reporter on the scene is shocked.
But those who have more distance between themselves and what has happened, those who are more able to view this in the abstract, those who look at it through their ideological prism and who see the sort of effect that this might have on the public mind and on the political scene -- I have no doubt that *they* are taking some pleasure in reporting this.

Michael Savage suggested last week that we need a policy shift. Either go tough or go home. This moderation policy can't succeed in a wartime condition. Win it or forget it, and close the borders. Hadrian's Wall. If the Romans could build a wall across Scotland or Wales in a couple months, surely we can build an even better wall even quicker. Be sure to level the neighborhoods that support the terrorist infiltrators.

...the ONLY stories you see on (FOX) evening programs are the boring, tasteless and time wasting Kobe Bryant and Scott Peterson. Who the heck gives a good gosh darn about these two dregs?I'm glad to see others are recognizing the problem.
FOX is beating these dumb lawyer shows like a Christmas drum, and they have turned me almost completely off from watching any of their programming. Now, I very seldom tune in to them at all, as I know if I do, I'll soon be watching more crap and ridiculous fillers about Lacy, Kobe or Bob - most of which anybody cares about. It was especially irritating during the recent fires when there was so much genuine news happening.
Why FOX ever hired Greta and Whorealdo is beyond me. All they do is rehash all the old CNN Liberal losers over and over. It's as if FOX wants to commit suicide. Well, they just about have, with me!
