They said it was close to the I-5 freeway still in the Stevenson Ranch area north of the San Fernando Valley. Winds are very heavy, damn it...they were supposed to stop.

It doesn't quite make sense though as the 5 is far from it.

Bimbo reporters don't know the difference between high and low humidity -- saying it will be a few days before lower humidity on the coast reaches the mountains to help the fires. Don't know whether to laugh or shake my head

This is exactly the education that Rush has been talking about for years. Keep passing the kids down the line, into another grade. Don't hurt their little egos. Dosen't matter if they come out of the other end of the pipe so stupid they make these kinds of remarks on national media. Rush is right AGAIN...

Yes, I agree, the FF's sure wanted them to leave. Oh well, sometimes I guess you just have to let it go. FF's moved on.

KFI had a guy from the NWS on. He said we are in a "transition" period before the cooler weather takes hold. He said that during this time, we can expect winds of 25-35 mph with gust of to 50 mph in certain areas. The winds should lessen tomorrow.

When mapquest can't find a city/location, it just puts the red star in the middle of the state. I think that is what happened with your search.

Thanks, I'm just repeating what the chopper pilot says, it's getting hectic. So anyone who knows the area, corrections are welcome. : )

ABC7 informed that they no longer had a desire to provide coverage whatsoever for the San Bernardino fires." [email]

If true, ABC is intentionally risking the lives of people in the San Bernardino area by failing to provide them with critical information about the fires. And the reason for this possibly lethal censorship? To take a petty shot at the firefighters.

Exposing this sort of thing is precisely the reason Al Gore, in his wisdom, gave us the Internet.

Can anyone confirm this report?
