Did you see that wind?

"NAVY PILOTS MAKING DEMO WATER DROPS IN CITY OF SAN DIEGO ONLY! STILL NO PERMISSION TO DROP WATER ON CDF LAND."
Do we know any more about the status of this issue today? (Sorry if it's been discussed at length, I'm wading quickly through hundreds of old messages.) Have we heard anything from Congressmen Hunter or Dreier about this issue in the last 24 hours? (I saw Dreier in the background with Denny Hastert as Arnold made a statement in DC this a.m. ...)

Any word on Phelan? I just got off the phone with a friend there. She says the wind has shifted and is now blowing West, towards Phelan. No fire yet.... no evac notice/info.

We're below the Yucca Valley area and we have smoke covering the sky, it's like a cloudy day. I think we're getting smoke from both San Diego and the Arrowhead area.
Last pictures of Hesperia looked like winds were about 30-35 mph, this is not good!! Went out to get a mask for the smoke and they are all gone already.

Ummm, lainie, I got the idea it was more to help, they wanted to stay. Said this group (?) had been through 2 or more fires up there in the past and thought they'd be okay. FF's just made a note of it and went on. So very sad. I don't know what to think of that, except to say I feel MOST times the experts really do know more, and should be heeded.

Where's CalGrove?
what's with the audio on the BigBear scanner feed? Sounds like a hog grunting in background.
Anybody else hear it?

That sucks, there is a couple nice restaurants there, Tony's, good mexican, The Inn and the Cedar Glen Inn, good breakfast. Reminnds me of the German Austrian Alps there.

Oh ok. Well as long as they don't endanger any FF trying to save them later, I guess. I sure wouldn't stay.
