Dear Republican, Over the last few months, Laura and I have traveled the country and have been humbled by the enthusiastic support we have been given. Our country has faced many challenges in the last two and half years and we are meeting these challenges at home and abroad. We're defeating the enemies of freedom. And at the same time, we're confronting challenges to build prosperity for our nation and a more compassionate society. Every test has revealed the true character of America. And no one in the world can doubt the spirit and will and strength of the American people. We are meeting the challenges of our time but there is much more to be done and I need your support. Will you join me in these efforts by volunteering for my re-election campaign as a Bush Team Leader? http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/ As a Bush Team Leader you will be asked to help by volunteering at local events, hosting your own events, registering new voters, turning out voters on Election Day and more. Most importantly, you will be asked to recruit more Bush Team Leaders to help us win in November 2004. Please sign up to be a part of this important effort today. http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/ The challenges we face cannot be met with timid actions or bitter words. They will be overcome with optimism and resolve and confidence in the ideals of America. We are acting to advance human freedom and liberty and making the world and America more secure. We took action to create jobs and get the economy growing again. We acted on principle. You did not send me to this office to mark time. You sent me here to restore dignity and honor to the White House and to help build a safe and prosperous and caring nation. Will you join me in this effort by becoming a Bush Team Leader and volunteer your time? http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/ I want to thank you for the work that you will do in the months to come. There is no question in my mind that with your help we are laying the foundation to win a great victory in November of 2004.
P.S. Again, thank you for making my campaign strong at the grassroots level all across the country. I am grateful to the over 300,000 Americans that have contributed to my campaign and the millions more who've signed up on the campaign email list. And I am grateful to everyone that chooses to volunteer in support of this effort. I need you to make certain your friends and family register to vote. I need you to make phone calls, send emails, help organize rallies, put up signs, and get out the vote. I need you to volunteer in my campaign today. |

I actually believe Dubyuh's more conservative than he's demonstrated vis a vis his domestic agenda, and if confronted with a conservative agenda that he thought could win, would rally behind it.
"All he and Rove are doing is backing everyone to go against the conservatives. Take Pa for example!"
Bush's tepid support for Simon in CA, and Schundler in NooJoisey, bothered me, sure...and I cannot believe he wants to keep a RINO like Specter in power when Pennsylvania's proven they will vote for a true conservative--like Toomey--as Senator. But yeah, I believe true conservatism is Right for America, and I believe Dubyuh can still be convinced to do what's Right for America.
Does that make me a hopeless romantic?!

So when are you going to get your own action figure? Ann Coulter has one.
Boy, would you two make the unconventional Barbie and Ken.
Yeah, and then the whole country got stabbed in the back. Conservative revenge?
For better or worse, conservatives are a principled lot, and they don't like feeling betrayed or neglected by those they entrusted with their vote.
It was for worse, as history proved. Everybody has their principle and nobody like to feel betrayed, but it's how they deal with it that counts. Besides, I thought Conservatives operated on logic and feelings were Liberal flaw.
No, I think you are on-target. Dubyuh's definitely got "that vision thing" when it comes to foreign policy, and I think it's serving him well. Still, he seems to lack "that vision thing" that Reagan had vis a vis domestic policy. Sure, with a DemonRAT Congress, much of Reagan's Vision got left on the cutting room floor, but the Right's worked hard over the last 25 years to get OUR folks in congress so we could start devolving Power back to the States, Localities, and Individuals, and it seems a shame that we would waste this opportunity to make real fundemental change just because Dubyuh's focusing much of his energies overseas.
That's where I think a Contract For America II would go a long way towards refocusing Republicans for a momentous second Bush term.

"Demand all you want" and "demand accountability", just don't actually put your vote where your conscience is when it matters? Yeah, THAT makes sense.
Exactly why would the GOP (or anyone for that matter) ever bother to worry about being held accountable if they never have to earn worry about earning my vote? Should they shudder in fear over getting yet ANOTHER e-mail from me? Pfft.
Are you saying that the GOP will "do the Right thing(s)" out of altruism, since your strategy is to vote them in, no matter what? I'm not sure if you've noticed, but politicians of all stripes tend to stop being altruistic once they are in office (with the unholy exception of Liberals and their "altruisitic" habit of giving our money away).
