President Bush's Message to the Grassroots: "I Need You"
Bush Team Leaders ^ | 10/28/03 | President George W. Bush

Posted on 10/28/2003 1:09:13 PM PST by Marcus Alonzo Hanna

Dear Republican,

Over the last few months, Laura and I have traveled the country and have been humbled by the enthusiastic support we have been given.

Our country has faced many challenges in the last two and half years and we are meeting these challenges at home and abroad. We're defeating the enemies of freedom. And at the same time, we're confronting challenges to build prosperity for our nation and a more compassionate society.

Every test has revealed the true character of America. And no one in the world can doubt the spirit and will and strength of the American people.

We are meeting the challenges of our time but there is much more to be done and I need your support. Will you join me in these efforts by volunteering for my re-election campaign as a Bush Team Leader?

As a Bush Team Leader you will be asked to help by volunteering at local events, hosting your own events, registering new voters, turning out voters on Election Day and more. Most importantly, you will be asked to recruit more Bush Team Leaders to help us win in November 2004. Please sign up to be a part of this important effort today.

The challenges we face cannot be met with timid actions or bitter words. They will be overcome with optimism and resolve and confidence in the ideals of America.

We are acting to advance human freedom and liberty and making the world and America more secure. We took action to create jobs and get the economy growing again.

We acted on principle. You did not send me to this office to mark time. You sent me here to restore dignity and honor to the White House and to help build a safe and prosperous and caring nation. Will you join me in this effort by becoming a Bush Team Leader and volunteer your time?

http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/

I want to thank you for the work that you will do in the months to come. There is no question in my mind that with your help we are laying the foundation to win a great victory in November of 2004.

Sincerely,

George W. Bush

P.S. Again, thank you for making my campaign strong at the grassroots level all across the country. I am grateful to the over 300,000 Americans that have contributed to my campaign and the millions more who've signed up on the campaign email list. And I am grateful to everyone that chooses to volunteer in support of this effort. I need you to make certain your friends and family register to vote. I need you to make phone calls, send emails, help organize rallies, put up signs, and get out the vote. I need you to volunteer in my campaign today.

Put this in your file:

They tell me that Vernon Robinson who is running for Richard Burr's seat in NC (Burr is running against Edwards) is the "black" Jesse Helms! We need to help him!

So you will be voting for whom? Let's see, Dean, Clark. Clinton? One issue will make you actually pehaps give us a socialist democrat in the White House who will do everything you are against, and most likely not continue to fight the terrorists? I don't get this, I just do not!

It's called cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Unfortunately there are a lot of single issue fanatics out there.

Most of us who diagree with Bush on this or that issue are capable of balancing it against the greater good he's done, and the fact that he's 10 times better than any of the loony left candidates running.

He's got my support.

Actually, from what I heard, there are potential plans being made to move the headquarters of Homeland Security to Michigan. If this is true and this actually does happen, then it does show that the Bush Administration is at least semi-serious about our current border problem, especially given all the border security issues Michigan has been through as of late.

Whatever are you shrieking about now? Of course I don't have a name. That's precisely my point. There are no conservatives, or even candidates vaguely committed to preserving the nation, running yet for President.

On a scale of 1 to 10, with the Dem candidates all getting between 0 and 2. Bush gets about a 3.

Let me guess. If he commits arson against schools, that'll raise his estimation level to a 5, eh?

And who rates an 8 or 9 according to your scale?

Still waiting for a name or do you just like to rant in the warm bosom of malcontent anonymity?

Howlin, I have spoken to Vernon on the phone and sent him money as well. Pretty funny story there.

I got some campaign literature from him looking for bucks. But it wasn't clear where he stood on the life issue, I'm sure you know where I stand :-}, so I called his office.

A guy answers and says, "Vernon here".

So I laughed and said, "Vernon Robinson?". He says "The one and only" or something to that effect.

In any case, I said his views were almost identical to mine but I was wondering if he was pro life.

"Damn straight".

So I sent a check. :_}

We will elect George W. Bush in 2004 without them.

That's right. We will.

And we will get a lot of help from the Bush haters who will give us an unelectable Dem candidate, like Dean.

He's got my support.

Mine too. IMO< the job he is doing as CIC, overwhelms all else. That is the primary function of the POTUS and I happen to think he's doing a damn fine job of it, the nine dwarves and the media dinks not withstanding.

Ron Paul

You mean the Ron Paul who has publicly stated that the US should use 18th century tactics in fighting 21st century terrorists.

At least you gave a name.

Just giving my opinion of his policies now, which is what a political forum should be about, IMO.

Bumping for President Bush. President Bush is one of the finest men to ever hold this office. We are in the midst of a great Commander-in-Chief and one oustanding administration. The President can count on my vote, along with everyone in my family. Many, many friends and relatives I know who have voted for Democrats their entire lives, are voting for President Bush.

I worked the GOP booth at the N.C. State Fair last week; he's the talk of the state, I tell ya!

I will send him some money, too, then, if you did!

BTW, at the fair, the two people who enjoyed the fair the least were the two guys who were manning the John Edwards for President part of the DNC booth. I tell you, they got an EARFUL from the people of this state about their candidate!

Michigan? It doesn't matter where it is headquartered what maters is what it does. It would seem that with something like 11 to 12 million illegals currently living in America and as the vast majority came from the south that would be the place to put the headquarters. The issue remains, is President Bush serious about border security? Saddly I must say no. I blame congress for their failure to address this issue and Bush for his failure to provide leadership.

A terrible choice for CIC. Pulling the covers over you head and hoping the bad guys don't infiltrate America is not quite what I'm looking for after twenty years of dead Americans and no retaliation.

He does have some good points but foreign policy ain't one of them.
