That steep area just south of Romforest is great pot growing area too. Remote, good gravity water feed. THey pull pot fields out of there every year.
No fire reported near hwy 189 by FF

BTW, they probably don't have more than one bucket per squadron--so maybe five buckets available.Then USE the five buckets!

KFI reported that the Forest Service is really getting concerned about the fire reaching the tops of the trees along the HWY 18 area as then the fire would leap from tree to tree in what they call topping.

My old roomie did a jump into that nudist camp way back when during their party weekend. He said his Willy was awful cold when he got down on the ground.I hope they warmed it up for him...

Fox Airfield is in Lancaster Ca. where tankers are staging out of. Hemet/Ryan in Hemet and Norton AFB (San bernadino) also tanker support

How about the feds
linking any -- that was ANY -- disaster relief funds to the mandate that forests be thinned to diminish the gravity (heat, fast-burning and far-reaching aspects) of any fires in that individual state?
Or am I just dreaming??
