"Sorry Father, what you just stated was it is ok to murder her and that is against EVERYTHING the Catholic Church teaches"
So true. Wonder if he might get a little visit from his Bishop?

As an attorney, I have seen the heartbreak associated with situations in which family members fail to obtain directives from loved ones prior to becoming incapacitated. I recently had a client who wanted to appoint her granddaughter as her guardian and conservator. Unfortunately, she could not do so voluntarily because her dementia took over before we could submit the application. Now she is facing an involuntary proceeding in which a court-ordered guardian ad litem will be appointed, contrary of course to her original wishes. All of this points out the necessity of planning for contingencies well ahead of when they might be needed.
I do not want to buy this argument of an executin judge or murderous husband until I have more facts. Is there a copy of Mr. Schiavo's application or the ruling of the district court granting Mr. Schiavo's request to withhold nutrition and hydration? Second, is there a legal chronology of this case? I cannot get ahold of anything that is unfiltered. Third, has anyone analyzed this case as it relates to the Cruzan case decided by the USSC over ten years ago?

How do we know he is a priest to begin with? Maybe Nightline jus dressed someone in a clerical collar Oh I am sure he was for real .. sadly there are some very liberal priests
Not sure what Niteline was trying to prove having this priest on because as soon as he said that he agreed Terry was alive .. he lost his argument.
Also his other argument about terminally ill people does not apply here .. Terry is not terminally ill .. she is brain damage
There is a difference

Sorry to be dense here. Read in some earlier posts in this thread that Terri was being turned away from hospitals as they did not want to follow Jeb's order as it was unconstitutional and they were afraid of getting sued by the merchants of death (the lawyers?)> Is that true, or what is the status? Is Terri in safe hands, being rehydrated?
thanks

I think it would also be a good idea if we included our FReeper names on the cards. Terri's family knows of us now and have even seen or will see some of the threads. That way they can make an association.

Felos has to make some money somehow. He just lost a large sum and he knows it.

IANAL, but there is much that stinks about this case. Keep me informed of anything 'official' you find. What's the Cruzan case?

"The existence of that girlfriend and her illicit offspring may have saved Terri's life tonight."
They certainly are demonstrable proof of his lack of devotion to Terri, aren't they?
To: my_pointy_head_is_sharp
I had urged Bush to act Monday in an emergency order while saying that the legislature was in the processing of drafting the needed legislation to free Terri. Now we see that had he acted Monday, the triumvirate would have ignored his order and proceeded at a faster pace to kill Terri. I still don't understand why this could not have been accomplished a few days earlier. However, everthing reached a crescendo on this special Oct. 21, 2003. Maybe everything peaked with maximum potential on this day.
Hopefully, Terri will be on the road to immediate recovery within another week or two and then can have some long-range therapy.
I would give anything to see the look on both George W. Greer and Schiavo. Neither will sleep well tonight. Felos never interested me that much: but we may have been the "brains" of the whole operation.

Is she in good enough condition to safely undergo surgery?
To: supercat
Does anyone know if her current hospital is in Pinellas County?I'm going to assume that the Morton Plant hospital where Terri has reportedly been taken is somewhere in the Clearwater/St.Pete general area, which is Pinellas County. Is that what you're looking for?

Count me in but I think we should wait to see where Terri is moved first. She won't be at the hospital more than a few days (I'm guessing). That's if she responds quickly :-/
To: Theodore R.
Felos never interested me that much: but we may have been the "brains" of the whole operation. I just have a certain feeling--maybe I'm just totally off-base, but I'd be curious if anyone knows how to get this examined--that Felos and Greer have conspired to cold-bloodedly murder people before. Terri would have been their next victim, except she refused to die off like she was supposed to.
