Bleeding won't do it either sometimes.
My daughter had a severe glass cut to her hand, bleeding alot, yet we sat in the waiting room for a long time, then sat waiting for the doc to return after cleaning it up. I am not joking when I say the staff walked around like zombies on valium.

have an idea - if this is true, and they are re-hydrating Terri, and the MINO-HINO is not her "guardian" now and so can't control her environment, how about as many people as possible send her flowers - gifts, religious symbols that will be appropriate for her, etc? I would love to send her flowers. Just imagine if her room becomes a garden! (If someone who is in FL or knows more than me (which is everyone) I would like the address of the hospital, or whatever info is needed to send something. I love that idea. I'm willing to do it but I think we should make sure she's going to stay in that hospital first. She could be transferred depending on how this plays out.

MD's do not have discretion to starve patients to death absent informed, written consent. They also do not have discretion to disobey lawful orders. They are also constrianed by the Hyppocratic Oath to do no harm.
I would hope that any Dr who decides he is above the laws of Florida, the laws of God and the rights of man suffers a severe comeuppance.

"I don't know but they need to get Terri the heck out of Florida asap."
Ah, they just need to get Michael Schiavo off the streets.
To: Canticle_of_Deborah
I don't know Florida law, but if she has a new guardian, isn't it possible? They should take her to the a Bible Belt state.

The woman has been in a permanent vegetative state for 13 years.
Just cut it out! If you've seen the video, you know that she is not in a "vegitative" state.
Based on some of your ludicrous posts (this one included), I would argue that it's more likely you've been in a permanent vegitative state for 13 years.

Terri is not being "kept alive by a machine."
And as for "artificial means," I just had some artificial means for dinner. And they were very good.

Thank god he has been denied! I hope he never will be allowed to make a decision for Terri ever again!

THIS IS INSANE!! THAT WOMAN KNOWS SOMETHING! THEY WANT HER DEAD!!Huh? The woman has been in a permanent vegetative state for 13 years. Who is she going to tell anything to?
Remember she has NOT had therapy or rehab. You can look in her eyes that she is alert. HEY , she laughs when she watches cartoons!! Thats not exactly non communicative!!!
To: Jorge
Once AGAIN. She is NOT ON MACHINES. She was in NO PAIN, until they started starving her to death. She is NOT TERMINAL.

That's, umm, the VERY SHORT version. Thanks for taking so much time to do that!
To: Jorge
It is a common practice for terminally ill cancer patients to be giving increasingly powerful doses of morphine to spare them the suffering of the final stages of their disease. The morphine in fact usually puts them out of their misery. Yeah, by killing them. It's called active euthanasia, not natural death.
If you advocate this at least be honest about what you're advocating.
